Toxic Community Reasoning and intelligent Marketing

you heard about The Vision, didn't you? It's something that the more toxic part of the community uses to call attention to, when they want to discredit Jonathan, one of the developers of this game. At least that is how I see it.

I think that Dawn of the Hunt is responsible for a lot of players coming back and I can't wait for the next patch that comes along that brings more content and reworks to this game. The 100 support gems were really needed and a nice addition. I really want to see more additions to the gem systems and reworks and I have high hopes the devs will actually deliver in this field sooner or later.

Now, what I realized is that what probably reaches a lot of players are the YouTube videos. I really think that the main reason for the success of this game was the intelligent marketing through the well-made YouTube videos where Jonathan talks about gameplay while showing off said gameplay. They did the same with Dawn of the Hunt and I think it's why many players came back. So I do realize that social media can play a big role in marketing this game and I think GGG should continue to make videos like that. I claim that Jonathan talking about the game in those videos was the main reason for it's success. I myself watched a lot of those YouTube videos, before the early access launched and it hyped me for the game.

I really dislike that Jonathan is being discredited here in the forums a lot, also through streamers. Because this form of discrediting him seems to me to attack the main source of marketing value GGG has available.

I hope GGG makes more videos with Jonathan talking about the game, because I'd be hyped to see that.
