The game is only left with spear players now
" This is exactly why Jonathan's vision is simply a failure. He wants to balance the game so that no classes can be overpowered, but that can only end one way: everyone copying the most powerful 1-2 builds. In a game as complex as POE1 or POE2, it's IMPOSSIBLE to have none of the classes be overpowered and most classes be viable. No group of human beings is capable of doing that. It's too difficult and sheer hubris to even think it could be done. So the answer is to allow some builds to be obscenely overpowered so that most classes have good builds which are capable of clearing the content comfortably. At that point most players will have fun and just play the class they like the most, even if it's not "the best". |

" Problem is, lootrates are still set around "the best". You can play what you like the most, probably do T15 maps at various slog levels if you know what you are doing, but you will remain at the backyard of economy and chase loot acquisition. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Echothesis#7320 เมื่อ 8 พ.ค. 2025 16:22:09

Haven't touched a spear.
Atlas fully completed. Maybe don't be a meta slave? Also, on the economy point that people keep making... If you're playing an off-meta class your build might be slower at clearing/farming, but your chase items are MUCH cheaper, with top tier stuff sometimes being a few exalts. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Tommo26#1554 เมื่อ 8 พ.ค. 2025 16:29:32

Also not playing LS and still playing, and it's still fun albeit pretty samey right now, I'm probably winding down because of lack of content not because the game isn't immensely playable
I could care about how much currency I have in comparison to others I guess? But my build cost me 10 divines and it clears T4s fine, so currency not really an issue |

" I don't see any other things in this version as unbalanced as the spear. Yes, something may be a little stronger or weaker, but not by as much as a spear. Basically, if they hadn't brought him into the game, or they had, but not in that capacity, then the balance problem would have been more or less solved. Of course, there are still a lot of useless things, useless skills, etc. in the game. But the main thing is not to have a situation where 80% of the players on the server use the same skill. | |
" nope, they will nerf other BDs n Weapons until you shut the mouth up, this is the attitude what they have, they are not wrong, you wrong. |

they will nerf LS and any other skill that is played this 0.2 to oblivion in 0.3, that is the GGG style.
And campaign will become even more boring and shittier and slower then 0.2 because GGG knows what people like and have fun with. |

Spears is more op than bow - because they can have an offhand...

This is what happen when you forget everything that happened in PoE 1 META. Resource acquisition efficiency is the name of the game, everything is balanced / tailored around trading. There is the "right way" to play the game, which is being fast and efficient.
The difference is, GGG already solve on how to balance between slow and fast build in PoE 1, which is adding more game mechanics that doesn't rely on speed in order to get considerable profits and not forcing the entire atlas system on clear speed. You can just do essences / beast / rogue exile + ritual / abyss / expedition / kirac memory / maven invitations. Those mechanic doesn't require you to blast through 3 screen-wide AoE and moving at speed of sound to get the reward. In PoE 2, instead of adding mechanic that doesn't rely on speed, they do the opposite in 0.1. And still don't change anything significant with Breach and Delirium in 0.2. Ritual still need abit of speed in term of moving and AoE but not that much, same with expedition but with more damage because exped mobs can be very dangerous if left alive long enough with map mods + remnant mods. However you still need to be fast in order to clear the map just to open the next node. When the game is all about acquiring resources efficiently, players will gravitate toward builds that can clear fast, move fast, and overall is efficient. Essences value in PoE 2 is not as good as PoE 1 because their prices is influenced directly and heavily by crafting system and builds or itemization diversity / complexity, and PoE 2 "crafting" system is just simply a slot machine and does not that much of diversity / complexity in term of builds or itemization. Being slow is just bad when playing in trade league, and the game is tailored and balanced around trading. Playing SSF is not the answer. |

If we will analyse the results of the statistic image that brought back the injustice class balance in surface, easily we will understand the player's behaviour in game!
People didn't stop searching broken builds or at least one shot clear map style, that would bring them fun and happiness again and potential toughness of hoping a quick leveling. Spear is one of these weapons that give both speed and presize damage and maybe mass area monster clearing. Damage is scaled between good and perfect depended on tier and combined build items. These results should be taken seriously noticed from Devs because is the second time they tried balancing the game between classes and weapons. A third time failure will end the game permanently. |
