S tier and other builds
so currently minions are like, C tier, and bloodmage is like S tier...
so here is the problem with not balancing the game and i mean very well, players will go on twitch, and see their c-b tier underperforming .... by as much as you game devs know C tier and B tier builds under perform. and players will either switch builds, OR more likely they will just say "this game is totally imbalanced" and stop playing.. no balance = 30k players, it's a very serious thing, and twitch/youtube has exponentiated this a lot this was the problem that troubled diablo 3, players could see other players specs, so everyone just specced the same. this is a critical issue with just mass producing content, it just becomes too much to balance and without balance it won't attract millions of players. so you have two options reduce/keep content to/at a balanceable point, or expect a much lower player count and net income. it's something very serious to consider as the gameline progresses แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Worlds7778#2034 เมื่อ 12 พ.ค. 2025 03:01:40 ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 12 พ.ค. 2025 04:54:25

The core problem isn't about other players feeling jealous, feeling bad, or comparing to others. The problem is that the game is still like PoE 1, resources acquisition efficiency, balanced and tailored around trading. So naturally players will gravitate toward what is most efficient build to play or strategy to do, to acquire resources and establish power in the market, and eventually to smoothen their character progression.
And what others do, directly and indirectly influence your experience in playing the game. Even if you play SSF, you still indirectly influenced by trading league because it still the same game. Whatever nerf / balance / changes that happen because of something in trading league, will also taking effect in all the other game mode. Path of Exile is a competitive game, to be precise, a game with competitive economic environment that dominates most if not all aspects of the game. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย bewilder2#0356 เมื่อ 12 พ.ค. 2025 03:37:15

" It's not the only reason, but it's hard for me to disagree with it. The real issue is the utter absence of balance. And by that, I don't mean "some builds are weaker"—I mean it's literally impossible to play anything else, because every other mechanic was gutted in 0.2. Now the wannabehardcoregamers rushing in to tell me how they totally kill T1 bosses without a spear and casually run T15 maps. Sure, endgame content is "available" for other builds... if you’re into spending 20 minute jumping around at an Arbiter or going through 100% Delirium T18 maps, praying none of the affixes hard-counter your build. At that point, it’s not a game— it's torture by boredom And all of this boils down to vision. The game copypaste mechanics straight out of PoE1 without a shred of adaptation, yet tries to act like it's this ambitious, refined experience with dodging and parrying and all that. What we get instead is a complete oxymoron. So of course, only the zoom-zoom builds survive—the ones that can keep up with zoom-zoom mechanics in what’s supposed to be a tactical combat system. and no, im not defending zoom zoom gameplay, i like meaningfull fights like V rising, but GGG must decide - or they redesign whole game from scratch, adapt mechanics to tactical gameplay, make it less crowdy, tune AI to fight not just running through, rebalance affixes, redevelop like whole game. Or let it be remaster of POE 1 with whole mechanics as is. Now Jonathan living in delusion that he can make slow gameplay in fast game. Funny how the solutions are right there on the surface. Brilliant and genuinely good ideas have already been laid out in hundreds of forum posts. Even the simplest integration of those ideas could massively improve the game and actually turn it into a true Diablo IV killer.
It honestly pains me to see GGG slowly bury a game with so much potential—all because of shortsighted management and terrible decisions.
