Another gear stat requirement bug

I was upgrading my helmet with armourer scraps and I think the implicit int increased slightly. Even though I had enough int to wear it still the game re-evaluated my stat requirements incorrectly (ignoring the stats being given by that currently worn item).

This caused the helmet to go red and unequip itself even though the int on the helmet gave me enough to wear it.

As usual when this happens I have to find a ring or something that temporarily gives me enough int to re-equip the item and them replace my original ring and all is ok again.

Applying currency and quality items to equipped equipment, where even allowed, typically causes that piece of equipment to be momentarily de-equipped and re-equipped.

As a result, if you required the attribute present on the gear piece in question to wear it, you may no longer meet the requirement since it has been momentarily removed.

As you suggested, you would need to temporarily boost your attribute(s) with another item - such as an amulet or ring in your example - in order to successfully equip the helmet and have its own affixes applied to your attributes (gaining back the missing INT).

Your helmet's INT requirement did not increase from applying quality, but any of its affixes granting that attribute would no longer count until you met the helmet's INT requirement with your other equipment.

Thanks for the explanation but this situation is just plain daft. The game shouldn't do this. I've had several situations like this which would all be solved if the game looked at the stats on the item you are trying to equip. Once I accidentally unequipped my chest because I fat fingered my controller and hit the wrong button and just couldn't re-equip it, in the middle of a map. This also broke other gear and my skills. I had to port back to my hideout, find some gear with the needed stats and fiddle around fixing it. It really should not be like this.
