Steppe Map Start Swarming

Out of curiosity: Is it an oversight, that in this map, we start with a dozen mobs right on top of us? Or is that intended? There's no other map like this IIRC.

Hideout maps typically have this ambush mechanic. Seriously, GGG wants you to lose XP so bad it has to resort to cheap tactics to do so.
