I really tried and I pushed hard, but I finally have to admit it's too much for me. I stopped playing for over a month because I was fed up with the game. I played almost 400 hours in 0.1.0; nothing was perfect, but I was optimistic about what the game could become. In 0.2.0, I played 85 hours spread over several weeks, and on two characters, I ended up stopping for over a month because the fun/boring ratio is too bad, really bad, like 10% fun and 90% boring. I reinstalled the game today and I didn't last more than 2.5 hours. I cracked because of the stuns. It's extremely unpleasant, but it's mostly a combination of things.
Everything is designed to create a false sense of difficulty, and it doesn't work. The game isn't difficult or challenging; it's just unpleasant.
The mobs are too fast, they do too much damage, they have too much mobility, they have an aim that hits way too much, they have too much range. Adding the movement penalty when casting a spell, and adding stuns, gives the impression that your character is always weak. I don't die specifically, that's not the problem, it's just that it's the opposite of the feeling I want to feel in this kind of game. All the maps with mobs that are too fast, or the ones with too many casters, it's just boring, not difficult, just boring.
We can also mention all the penalties for dying, which are just too numerous, and to finish off the beast, we have gambling mechanics.... Omnipresent.
Wow, guys, what's the point? Honestly? Apart from wearing out my patience?
And I'm not even talking about the map crafting system...

I recommend playing DOOM Eternal on maximum difficulty. Some parts can be really frustrating, but in the end, there's a real sense of satisfaction, which your game doesn't evoke in me.
30% troll, 70% sincere; the people who make these decisions should probably work in the prison system; they would be perfectly at home in a system that seeks to punish people.

sorry mate, it is pretty brutal, the fun factor has definitely diminished.

That's exactly what I told my wife today, dying for the 20th time to a volatile crag that spawned underneath me. I can't see the thing, it's almost the same color as the map and it's an insta kill.

I said : "they're literally trolling and driving their player base on purpose, there is no way the lead devs are thinking this is acceptable, this is sheer trolling"

I can't really play this game for much more than an hour without getting the "alright screw this, just press alt+F4" feeling.
Nothing like the poe 1 gameplay.

GGG needs to remember that a game has to be fun, otherwise I might as well quit it and go do some house chores instead.
