POE 3.26 is going to Launch in June and Why POE2 people should care and play it.
" Its the other way around, all consoles(outside switch) use the standard x86 architecture as they have special amd APUs installed, so got very similar to pcs. The engine are vastly different, even the base idea is. GGG poe engine has only one game in mind and its specialised on that only; well or two if want to look at it that way, while unity is broad standard engine which tries to fit many gametypes. Also on a base level, gggs engine is coded in c++ and unity is a c# thingie, but I'm not that sure about it ;> Current Build: Penance Brand God build?! https://pobb.in/bO32dZtLjji5 แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย tsunamikun#0433 เมื่อ 1 มิ.ย. 2025 18:32:24

Sorry dude but after reading through your write up, you're just lying to new players.
1) Yes, poe1 is ONLY screen clearing blasting. If you can't do that, you're dead. You thought 1 shots were bad in poe2? PoE1 is literally JUST one shots because there's so many ways to make your character immortal and recover instantly they had to make everything do hyper damage. There is NO meaningful combat at all, no battle of attrition as you try to go back and forth with a boss. 2) I mean this is just a straight up lie; "Unlike POE2 you can get through the campaign and a good part of end game with anything." You can get through the campaign with any skill in poe2 you want, it instead depends on how knowledgeable you are on building your character FOR that skill with the limitations you have while in campaign. 3) Your own answer on your question of what's different in the endgame is really funny, because you don't even answer it. You instead decide to say "man well uh, well see there's a couple bosses, and uh, there's like delve which gets harder the lower you go.". Yea. Poe1's endgame is actual garbage. You run T16 maps, and choose to burn 28 maps for an eater or an exarch boss fight which won't drop anything and is better off sold, or you go for a maven fight which is the same thing. You choose a single map that some youtuber told you is the best because it *can* (but it won't) drop a really high priced div card, and you run that map a thousand times until you're bored and you quit the league. You also are forced to pick 2-3 end game mechanics via the atlas tree, while ignoring every other mechanic because you didn't spec into them so it's actually worthless to run, because unlike poe2 where you can max out every mechanics tree so it's always worth it to run them when you come across them, in poe1 it's a waste of time. Poe1 is so far from poe2 that if you see somebody trying to convince you to play poe1 because you only played poe2, it's because they *desperately* need your body in the concurrent player count. Poe1 was good, 10 years ago. It's not-so-slowly morphed into this power crept 20 second map clearing no drops unless you're in a MF culler full stacked party game that it's really disappointing. But hey, get mad at what I wrote all you want, the literal fact they decided to make poe2 proves my point; poe1 is beyond repair and it's just better to start over. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Bleu42#4018 เมื่อ 1 มิ.ย. 2025 22:08:10

" I guess you're having a bad monday, I'm sorry dude, I feel you. I hope it will get better because you look seriously hurt. Don't worry, you'll be fine. |

" You meant to say that unlike in PoE Two where ALL mechanics are worthless, in PoE you can focus on 2-3 of them at once and make them way better? PoE Two "atlas tree"(more like atlas shrub) got gutted like everything in that game. They are scared to let players make ANY decision, so instead they let you unlock all passives that barely make any diffrence. ALso lets not even start about this bs "meaningfull combat in PoE Two". Just like in PoE you just hold right click and explode entire screen, the diffrence is that maps in PoE Two are empty and mobs in PoE Two barely drop anything (and on top of that you are so slow that walking from pack to pack takes 30 seconds) แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Aynix#7757 เมื่อ 2 มิ.ย. 2025 07:49:08

hmm when i think about it, is it even possible to completely miss any atlas mechanic with 3 trees?
And not only that, POE2 mechanic setup has other pretty deep problems, like some intense grind beforehand to even start improving it. Basically no choice in upgrades, as there are optional setups paired with an atlas tree that is just redundant. Also, in poe1 there is actually defense outside ES stacking. just saying. Of course people should try PoE1; it's the best ARPG on the market.
Is it vastly different than PoE2? Yes, both in positive and negative ways. But it's free, it's one of the more content rich games on the market (for better or worse) and it has turned into a sandbox where you can (more or less) focus on what you find fun. New players shouldn't listen to old-timers telling them that "PoE1 is ONLY screen clearing", because it isn't true at all. Sure, if you want to super-juice far into the endgame and be a richboy, the game does funnel you into certain paths, but you still have options. But a new player shouldn't really care about that and explore the game (and the endgame) at their own pace. Us old-timers are heavily blinded by years of thinking efficiency, supremacy and META, and new players trying the game for the first time shouldn't think about those things at all. Pick your skill, have fun and learn as you go. Lastly; bossfights like Shaper, Elder, Uber Elder, Maven, Sirus etc. are all "meaningful combat" if you're not overgeared and overleveled, where you have to mind your surrounding and pay attention to boss mechanic. But unlike PoE2, PoE1 gives you the choice to overlevel and overgear, letting you reach the powerlevel we "all" strive for in ARPGs. " Hell, I've been informed in no uncertain terms that, because I don't play screen-clearing builds in PoE, my opinions on this forum are invalid. =9[.]9= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

" No. It had nothing to do with ur build. They were talking about your EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE about the game. You were acting like some kind of expert meanwhile you never even reached end game of this game. |

" You're not playing screen-clearing builds? WHAT!!? As some people claim it's mandatory and that you'll get one-shot in seconds, how do you manage? /s Some people just view the juiced-up late endgame as the only option there is, so in their eyes, you have to play a screen-clearing META build. And if you're mindset is currency per hour, sure - that is the "only" option. But do the new players trying out PoE1 for the first time have that mindset? Of course not, which makes that attitude as narrow as a slice of salami. " I thought that discussion had to do with GGG and their practices more than the game (and especially the endgame). I still think a player that has experienced their practices for more than a decade has the right to an opinion even if endgame isn't his thing. But that's just me. back to the topic, I guess.
