"And the oneshots" tbh, if you get one shots that frequently and not from bosses then you have some serious problems with your build and ignore life and/or resistances to much. If you play ranger and are to bad to dodge, then I am sorry to hear that, but then you need to learn how to do it, right or level something else till you can afford a One Shot build were you eradicating anything and don't need to care for deaths anymore.

The oneshots are only from bosses,...

As far as loot being improved already, that's good, but I think it needs to be improved more. I feel like the way trading is in this game it could be kind of a time hog, when I have time to game I want to play, not wait on getting responses to whispers. If there were an AH where people list stuff then they could either accept offers or the person interested just pays the ask, then either way once a price is agreed on the buyer gets the item mailed to them and the seller gets the currency mailed to them. So you could send an offer then go offline, whenever buyer comes online they see the offer and accept, you're still offline but you get the item mailed to you for next time you're online. Rather than having to camp your PC. When I want to play this game I want to be killing stuff getting drops.

I have almost 37 hours in less than 2 weeks so I've gotten my money's worth, and it isn't even out of early access so not content complete yet. And it will have constant dev is my understanding, so I'm not bitter. Just changes I personally would like to see.

But I have to disappoint you that GGG always had a strict no AH base. We are lucky that we have a Currency AH right now, even if it should be available far sooner as it is now.

"When I want to play this game I want to be killing stuff getting drops."
When you want to play this game you should get used to trading,... alot. Otherwise play SSF and just farm areas till you are satisfied with what you got.
Maybe and hopefully they will give us more sources to improve our characters via actual crafting. I mean as you said, it is EA, there have to come more stuff to improve the experience.

Also I think trading is more like taking a break from constantly farming brainlessly areas. But I also don't need that much time in trades except I help others to improve their gear. For me it is whisp one guy who has nice stuff I could use, if he is not responding right away, checking for the next,... if none responded atm I simply wait till next day.

I pretty much only bought this game to have something else to play with my brother. I think in my solo free time I'd rather play maybe an indie game on Steam than trade in this to climb the gear ladder. If we hit a brick wall and need to play to trade for gear I have to assume we'd just quit. We have almost 40 hours already playing characters for just us two and being almost done base campaign, and from playing other characters only with a friend when he plays and being about halfway through Act 2 there. So got money's worth regardless. If their vision doesn't do what I want all the way through, it isn't my game, and even if we quit after finishing base Act 3 we will still likely come back in the future to see new acts and if things get "better" (from changes I'd like to see) maybe even play more than that. So I'm not bitter at all, or saying these changes *need* to happen because maybe some people actually prefer how things are right now. Just my two cents. This definitely seems like more of a hardcore game than most games are these days, even though it has some QoL improvements from what it draws inspiration from (it seems to take a lot of inspiration from Diablo II but it doesn't have corpse runs). And I don't know that more hardcore suits me these days. It's definitely cool being reminded of my younger years when I took gaming more seriously, but I'm not sure how long the phase will last. It's a matter of time.

HC SSF - first char

Merc, first ascendancy done
level 41, act 3
200.000 gold
Alva 0/100
0 exalts
0 chaos

Items literaly NOT droping and even IF something drops, it needs TONS of exalts/chaos orbs I dont have.
Cant upgrade gear. (my items are level 15-25)
Cant loot anything worth upgrade.
No currency.

What is this ?
How should I continue ?

Starting a second toon till you find something of value maybe or farming lower areas as much as the sekhemas trial, it can offer some nice stuff?
I think the game isn't yet ready for SSF tbh, since it lacks crafting possibilities. Especially since Essences are kinda crappy as they are atm.
But people can do it,... it is a pain and also a reason why never understood why people would play it :/

From what I remember, killing bosses the first time always drop rares and/or currency. At least that's how they did it in 0.1, but that's just feels...bad to do that.

Not right from the start, at start you dropped far less as you can find now, then they improved the loot. The same as they did with 0.2.0 . The loot got improved like 2 weeks ago and I played since then and the loot got really insane from what I can say. I played a new character throught the acts without struggling once and made it to maps up to level 92 I think. But I also don't use vendors that much, since I am not that lucky and cause I think vendors make no sense in the management itself of gold and currency. I rather get to the online shop and get some good items for 1 ex each.
But in 0.1.0 they also dropped far more uniques. Which was kinda nice and a pity now.

Johnny has already said they will be adding items to the currency exchange as well. No date set though.

Fair assume... Sounds right to me, too. If you are that much against trading at all, this game is not for you. Not yet at least. Maybe on release, if we got more possibilities to counter certain problems. But you shouldn't expect it to be a Diablo game at any time, cause that would be a downgrade on most aspects for the people which enjoy it now and which enjoyed the first part.
Again, I am fine with that and just want to agree with your assumption.

Would you mind giving me a source for that or a link where I can see that? Would really appreciate your time investement.

To me this game seems like a massive mod for Diablo II, and that game was heavily trade focused in endgame. So I get it. But, Diablo II is too hardcore of a game for me to really push these days, with Resurrected we played a lot at launch, got to 82 then quit. Highest I've ever gotten, even in the original's heyday we pretty much just finished normal and moved on, definitely weren't farming for runes or to trade for runes. I have more time than him too so while I could technically do some trading while waiting on him, I might run out of time when he's ready to play then we want to play together, not be in voice chatting with each other while trying to trade with other players.

I don't think this game necessarily needs to get "modernized" the way DIV is, that game already exists, this game is different and that's why I find it cool for now.

I just got corrected. GGG seems to plan to implement something like an AH.
