Please Remove Ground Curses in Maps
I don't know what the idea was behind introducing constant ground curses in end game maps, but it is not fun. There is nothing engaging about feeling like you have to run around and dodge curses or be stuck with temporal chains or elemental dissipation. This is another example of lazy difficulty. These types of gameplay decisions bely an attempt to make the endgame harder without any care for whether or not the mechanic is fun or the players will enjoy it.

The previous curses while being annoying were just a little too strong (temp chain was the main culprit obv), now they are giga and it punishes slower builds the most, going against what they are trying to achieve with the pace. The identity crisis of the endgame continues.
Depending on where they spawn, and your movement speed, you can't avoid unless super fast to notice, which would be somewhat ok if not for the visual clutter on screen. Timer seems random and sometimes you just get spammed. Also might be confirmation bias but the amount of them seems way higher than it was prior to patch. TLDR: Decent idea, bad execution. |

This constant ground casting of curses is a mistake. Until POE2's optimization significantly improves, it's counterproductive to create needless terrain clutter.
Revert this change. Bring back the old map curses |

Even though there was changes made to ground effect/explosions, I personally think that they are still too strong. Dying in 1 shot when you are full ES and HP... I would rather it be less, and then be thrown around a few time and stunned with more chance of trying to escape and heal. With the one shot, it's just instant death. No chance to try surviving at all.

In PoE1, my first stash tab is named Loadout. It contains anti-curse gear and anti-reflective gear. That way, if I need to run a map with curses or damage reflection, I can re-gear and get on with it.
Is the loot or item situation in PoE2 such that it's impossible to do the same thing in this game? Genuine question, I haven't progressed far enough for it to be a big deal. All I know is that in PoE1 it is completely manageable. Reflection is worse than curses, and that isn't present in PoE2. I don't know whether this is a serious complaint. Does equipment drop that you can use to reduce curse magnitudes? |
