Please Remove Ground Curses in Maps

I get what they were trying to do with this. They noticed nobody likes Temporal Chains and people throw those maps away. So, they wanted to reduce the uptime of it. However, I don't think this attempt to offer counterplay (dodging the curse circles) is really hitting the mark either. The curse circles are just spammed all over, and you often don't really have a chance to dodge them. So, yeah, you might not have temporal chains on you 100% of the time on the map, but you still get it applied to you often, and it's still terrible. I think most people will still continue to throw these maps away, because it just simply isn't worth the time. It slows you down too much.

The previous curses while being annoying were just a little too strong (temp chain was the main culprit obv), now they are giga and it punishes slower builds the most, going against what they are trying to achieve with the pace. The identity crisis of the endgame continues.

Depending on where they spawn, and your movement speed, you can't avoid unless super fast to notice, which would be somewhat ok if not for the visual clutter on screen. Timer seems random and sometimes you just get spammed.

Also might be confirmation bias but the amount of them seems way higher than it was prior to patch.

TLDR: Decent idea, bad execution.


+1. This is compounded by ground effects (particularly explosive types) seemingly now having shorter, sometimes even instant, trigger times since 0.2.1.

I mean, they could have not buffed the effect by 100% for starters.
