This is the first game that seems to intentionally stifle players. Not trolling, challenging, or even excessive obstacles or anything like that. Just straight stifling. Why shouldn't most players have the opportunity to reach max level? "A great achievement"? For whom? So you can tell your mom? I don't get it. I don't understand the fun-police approach. XP loss/death and the slog of the campaign can easily be fixed at the same time. Double all XP gain until 75 then triple it. After max level XP gain can be translated to gold. That's it. Out of curiosity, Skyvortex, how many of the suggestions I posted have you started following? If you aren't layering defenses and categorizing your waystones by good mod/bad mod, you are fun-policing yourself.
