Add an option to disable Sprint
Sprint is nice when you have to backtrack. But during combat it can be a nasty trap. If you dodge and don't release the Dodge key quickly enough - the game initiates Sprint. This unintentional Sprint can easily result in your death when you get hit and get knocked down for several seconds.

I absolutely HATE Sprint. Most of my deaths in 0.3 so far have been from unintentional sprinting during combat when I use dodge roll and don't release the button quickly enough.
GGG please add an option to disable Sprint! Even better, uncouple it from Dodge, let us bind it to some other key. |

I don't want it removed or disabled, I just need it uncoupled from dodge. I don't mind being careful with sprint while I run through maps, I do mind accidentally triggering it in the middle of a boss fight and getting knocked down and killed (which has happened multiple times now). Just give me a normal sprint key and I'll be happy.

" I think it may be a bug or desync (or maybe some other form of communication delay with server). After dying to what seemed like a sprint stun after dodge rolling (multiple instances of it happening before I fully came to relise what was happening) I decided to purposely get stunned by testing the dodge roll on groups. I did this by rapidly pressing and releasing the spacebar (dodge roll hotkey/sprint) over multiple packs to see if I could reproduce the sprint stun, it happened multiple times but not so frequent that it'd be immediately noticable. As I said I think there's either a bug or server communication issue. With that said I've also noticed that there are instance's where I can't dodge roll between small mobs at about the same frequency as the sprint stun (like dodge roll used to be when 0.1 released). I'm not sure if new stuff is interfering with previous, or old code is somehow reverting and linking back to pre-fix/update levels intermitantly. In any case I'm hoping to see the issue addressed. |

I agree and would definitely disable it if it were an option. Even splitting it away from Dodge would be great.
As soon as I saw the knockdown mechanic mentioned, I wondered how many HC characters would die as a result.. I hope GGG is tracking death by knockdown for amusing end of season stats. Unless things have suddenly changed, there was mention that we shouldn't go faster than the mobs and avoid combat once initiated. Sprint is like a "You really want to go fast? Fine then, sprint.. *evil chuckle*" response. |

An easy solution would be to allow binding sprint and dodge to separate keys and is probably how it should have been implemented in the first place.
