combat frenzy not generating charges for me

I'm playing hollow palm monk and my combat frenzy is not generating frenzy charges and thus resonance isn't converting to power charges for charged staff. I'm running ice strike and freezing enemies, but nothing. I've double checked that the auras are turned on and I have enough spirit.

Any suggestions? I'm sure I've done something dumb.

I tried on leveling and after I saw "only once in 7s" I quitted it

combat frenzy will stop working if original sin ring is equipped

anyway lingering illusion works also and you save some skill points

Doesn't Lingering Illusion have to be killed by a mob to give you a charge? they have 1hp but only live for 2 seconds.

Do you get the charge if it just dissipates? I tried it once and it never got killed because it lived to short for a mob to target it.

use charged profusion and prolonged duration support gems with lingering illusion
dash into mobs with shattering palm/hand of chayula and dash again
mobs hit the clone and afterwards you keep dashing in fights anyway
so you get charges all the time

im not sure if you have tried it yet but i had to go in and manually set both weapon sets to have the auras turned on. it was visually showing i was on weapon set 1 but it was set to weapon set 2 and i have no auras activated. hope this helps you too

I have the same issue. it was working then the new patch and it doesn't work. hope they fix it because I just spent 3+ hours trying to beat arbiter with ZERO charges.

I can verify still busted for me also.

FIGURED IT OUT: Ok the real defect is with Hallow Palm it is using the 2nd weapon set ... NONE OF MY AURA'S were working!

2nd Weapon Set is the default for Hallow Palm ... be aware!
