" Well, to be fair, it's not me who wants to do that :p But like PushKick mentioned, more rares is one of the possible substitutes for the old quantity modifier that as mentioned, again brings it back in a risk-reward form. Also, for party play specifically, the quantity you're referring to already IS an inherent property linked to the additional challenge for party play in the form of extra health/difficulty for monsters. On the other hand, i do agree that stacking so much risk-reward to get up to the levels of loot you could get with the 'freebie' mechanics before does also significantly increase the gear and build requirements you need to be able to run it all. I'm sure they are aware of that since they're smart people, but i still feel it's somewhat of an issue. I believe they opted for 10 because they let our towers intact. But they soon need to buff tablets to at least 20% each. I made some preparations so I completed like 50% of my prepared maps. But soon I'll be left with just tablets, which is worse than even 2 overlapping towers before (42%).
