Poe 2 crashes my pc since 0.4.0 update

Got the same with PoE2 and also now it happens even in Poe1
I've tried everything reinstalling video drivers, reinstalling windows, reinstalling the game, adjust Nvidia driver settings as it recomended in some YouTube videos about Nvidia and PoE2 crashes.... NOTHING WORKING

I'm SOOOOOO TIERD... Especially with the Poe1 where you can loose 2 div + map after crash...

Intel Core i7-14700k
GeForce RTX 3080
32 Ram (G-Skill 7600)

Ok Folks, I played a bit more, and this time I suspect some blood-related effects. I *definitely* see more crashes in Karui zones (with lots of blood monsters), Rituals with blood effects and Pathfinder with Herald of Blood.

I think instead of just complaining, let's try to be in the constructive mood here and collect as much information as we can so the devs could fix this sooner.

We have travelled down every road. There is literally hundreds of threads and comments about this (you can use the search fuction) and nothing any of us has tried has worked at all.

The common similarity of all the threads about this is...

1: multiplayer
2: new AOE spells being used by other party members
3. Party members are off screen.

Though some have posted videos of this error happening when the game starts and loads shaders and also new flashy abilities being used by monsters in vaal ruin.

All are getting "Deadlock Detected" error.

Apparently Deadlock Detected is the application asking the CPU to compute identical instructions (in this case the new flashy spell shaders) on the same processor.

Memory leak never get fixed, i wonder wtf devs are focusing before making the game run properly.

I'm having a lot of game random crashes and video erros in this league too. All other games, like expedition 33, BG3, aion 2, the witcher 3, red dead 2... i literally play with 0 crashes and video erros. Last league i played the game with no crashes and no erros. That's really sad cause i dont wanna stop play poe2 because of this, but I also don't want to end up ruining my computer by playing something that constantly gives me problems. Hope they fix this!!

You promised to correct your game. It is unplayable. Every 5 minutes there is a crash. Opening portal, opening atlas tree or passive tree, or things like that don't even require GPU resources, it just black crashes, and cannot return to windows, have to totally force restart my computer. Instead of adding new content, FIX YOUR GAME!!!!

I gave up on this league due to all my desktop freezes as well. Had to hard restart my pc over 10 times. Worst performance out of all 4 leagues by far in my case and the freezing desktop is a brand new issue. Whenever I alt-tab out of the game while it is in anything except full borderless mode it would freeze the entire pc. Disabling multithreading also works, but the game runs even worse than it normally does if I do that

I’m running into the exact same stability issues, and it’s getting pretty frustrating. The game will randomly freeze, and sometimes I’ll get the GGG logo before it dumps me back where I left off. Other times, the entire system becomes unresponsive and I’m forced to do a full reboot just to recover.

My laptop is on a solid surface with plenty of airflow, and internal temps hover around 170°F during gameplay. After about an hour of playing, the game’s resolution tanks and both VRAM usage and drive activity start spiking hard. If I try to open Discord or OBS on top of that, the whole system becomes borderline unusable. At this point, long sessions are almost impossible without expecting a crash or a forced restart.

Since this new season, the game just randomly crashes my PC and sends it to boot up again. I stress tested all my parts with OCCT and as far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with my parts (this also never happened playing any other game). It happened while in combat, while sitting in the hideout and looking at support gems, basically any time no matter what. easy fix : disable your video graphic settings for poe2.

Frankly, I tend not to post on these forums cause it's a waste of time. First, I don't actually believe anyone reads them and second, if anyone does, it's probably only a low level mod to make sure the convo is civil but certainly not anyone with any pull or influence in the game. Might as well be screaming into the void lol

That said, 0.4 has been such a disaster from the perspective of the game actually being playable. POE2 has a problem with crashing and I haven't seen a meaningful attempt by the devs to actually fix it.

I'm someone who plays LOTS of early access games and I've never come across one that crashed so much. Up to 0.4, I tolerated it but in 0.4, I don't know what they did but it quite literally crashes double digits each play session..

I have a high end PC that's up to date with all it's drivers so the problem isn't me.

What prompted me typing this was the recent crash. Usually, I log back in and it runs for a time. THIS time, I log in and within seconds it crashes again. Have not, over the last 30 min been able to get it running again.

I've swapped out various settings in the menu, turn the graphics down to low, etc etc and I quite literally can't stay logged in for than mere seconds before it crashes.

What's really frustrating it I went over the X to see if they were having an issue and maybe they posted about it. First post I see is something about "microtransactions." Talk about out of touch.

If I can't even play your game, what makes you think I'd want to buy any of the extra's???

In my humble opinion, this crash/performance issue needs fixed BEFORE anything else. You recently did a hot fix for a temple thing cause ... I don't know why. forget the temple. I can't even play your game.

P.S. After taking the time to type this up (and I'm a very slow typer who goes back and reads what I type), I tried to log into the game again and guess what, it crashed within seconds of getting in...........................
