The numbers are plummeting as predicted.

I think its 100% fine and fits with the game.

Gain 400% players
Player loss increased by 800%

Sounds like perfect PoE2 to me, what do you expect ?

As of today, I’m deleting your game and leaving a negative review. I genuinely do not care what you add, change, or “improve” going forward. Endgame tweaks, balance passes, or whatever crumbs you throw out to stop people from complaining mean nothing to me anymore.

After finally getting an “Overrun by the Abyss” proc, I went in excited to actually play the map. Demonform/Bonecage (melee spellcaster) and i get the Shade Walker mod. SOMEHOW I dodge it, save my character, drop out of demonform, and get instantly deleted anyway. No counterplay. No reaction window. Just gone. After dying to this garbage about 20 times this league, having it ruin the one Abyss proc I got was the last straw.

Are you actually serious with these monster mods? Who thought it was acceptable to design content that just one-shots players with zero counterplay? At this point every Abyss is pure RNG: roll the mod, you’re dead. That’s it. Might as well play Hearthstone.

And this isn’t even the only broken nonsense in the game. Proximal Tangibility+Mana Siphon+Haste Aura? Great design. Truly.

I’ve deleted my characters and uninstalled the game. I literally threw away all my progress this league. I spent over €100 supporting you, and it’s painfully obvious that player feedback means absolutely nothing until people start leaving. You’ve officially earned a spot next to Blizzard on my permanent blacklist of companies I won’t touch again.

wow.

PoE1 was in a very rough state this early too. We're only here to bug test and break builds so that GGG can patch and nerf for 1.0 release. Do they really care how many people are playing in 0.4? I don't think they're biting their nails or patting their own backs. They're just doing work and building something for 1.0 release.

I am sorry but POE 1 ran like butter at this stage in it's development. This is the 4th league now for POE2 and it has regressed. Didn't have the game breaking bugs with the video drivers in the first 3 leagues like we have with this current one. Never experienced this kind of stuff back in the POE1 beta and first release leagues.

People cannot functionally play this game because GGG rejects all AMD and Microsoft video drivers.

I think you've got some rose tinted glasses on bud.

I distinctly remember getting blue-screen crashes in between cyclone desyncs during endgame slideshows.

PoE1 didn't feel like a fully completed game until like the end of 2015/into 2016, which was 3 years after I started playing it.
Another one bites the dust. Campaign WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too long. Maybe another time, enjoy!
Stream concurrent numbers don't mean much unless the game is only playable on Steam OR it isn't possible to migrate off Steam to the stand alone client.

Especially when you factor in that the stand alone client seems to have less issues than playing the game through Steam or even Epic.

You forgot about Xbox/PS5/Non-Steam POE Client

Also couch co-op partners won't be counted even on online Steam.

(But then they would hardly matter in a concurrent player count anyway, since it skews so heavily towards player-hours rather than unique players, and the 2nd couch co-op player is likely to play a lot less time than the main player.)

I sometimes come on these forums and I'm just blown away by the amount of negativity. I know that online feedback skews negative but holy moly this place just feels chock full of people grasping for reasons to be angry at developers/designers and/or grasping for reasons to validate that anger or negativity.

I've literally never known a better game development studio than GGG and I've been gaming since the late 80s. I know that doesn't mean they are immune to criticism but the feedback here is like 2% constructive and 98% frustrated vitriol and fallacious "I told you so" argumentative validations regarding said frustrated vitriol and it is dominating these forums.

Yeah, it's wild, I've never seen such a negative community before !

(Even the Diablo 4 forums don't seem to be as bad, despite that game having perhaps even more issues...)
POE2 needs to go back into closed alpha testing. This game was not even remotely ready to be released to the public. It only came out so they could get an infusion of cash cause daddy TenCent probably stopped giving them cash, so they sold beta keys. Other than the campaign there is zero content in it, once the campaign is done, the endgame is absolutely boring AF.

Just close the servers and focus on the game without having to worry about pushing out new leagues every few months.

Keep coping.
Aside from Druid, what about this league would attract people to play? The worse loot? The lack of crafting? The terrible game performance? The numerous bugs and glitches? The boring temple mechanic? The nerfs to ascendancies and skills? The slog of the campaign? The lack of a real endgame rework?

It's not a shock that a lot of players have already quit. I don't blame them. This league hasn't been fun or rewarding so far.

PoE1 was a gem even in close beta and no act2 boss yet.
