Thanks Chunda! And Mathil for keeping the thread going. A friend convinced me to make an Ambush character (cuz I totally need an 8th lowbie char...) and I'm out of builds to try. Always wanted an aura build that's not purely standing around looking pretty while everyone else gets to rain death.

I rerolled my character to this build and I currently love it!


I need some help in upgrading my gear, your help is greatly appreciated.

Leveling new ranger to try out this build right now. I've got all gear purchased (using high evasion rare armor). This build is for Invasion so I am leaning towards a more tanky build. Let me know how this skill tree looks?

Would not getting resolute techniques until level 80+ (my last area of the tree I'd be hitting)be okay? I don't really care if I kill stuff slowly. Until I can kill quickly on my own I'll be running groups 99% of the time. Whether it's group piety farming, or mapping.

If interested here's the gear I acquired on Invasion for under 7Ex. (literally for everything, gems included).

I know some gear is not 100% ideal, but it's what I've got at the moment. Again, I'm gearing mostly defensively. I know some pieces are missing WED etc, but it's simply because I couldn't afford, and wanted defensive stats first. Also still have no Socketed/Linked most of it yet since I didn't even level the character yet!

So Lighting Coil is best chest for this spec? what about Hyrri's Ire?

Has anyone tried using added lightning or a different gem than faster attacks?

Yea it's less dps.

I cant find any ranger tree for this build, anyone?
Also another question, would tempest shield work well? Maybe taking out one of the purities (is it so hard to cap resists??) and using it instead. Or are the purities for the extra max resists to counter reflect?

Just updated some of the trees to how I currently am/would spec. Added some FAQs aswell but need to do more. Will try to get that going pretty soon as well. Have to go do something at the moment though.

Added a couple more. Going MIA for another 6-12 hours.

Because u have to take ring, amulet and belt with WED line so your resist will be lacked, that why we need purity of xyz.
