You don't need to. It's actually a bit hard to get higher dps with varunastra, and that's the only reason to do it.

Is there a way to increase the boss dps of this build? I used to play this build and always loved it, but with a lot of mods and/or on higher maps bosses just take ages as they dont seem to take damage at all.
It says that the build is updated for 2.5, but the new shield is not discussed, as well as blade flurry. Wouldnt both be worth trying out/using? |

" The shield is definitely worth using, there's nothing to discuss there :) As for blade flurry, it means changing a lot of things: main weapon and gear and passive tree.
