Got 1 shot from corrupted monster when:

I was lvl 76, mobs 72
All elemental resistances were 75%
Chaos resistance was 75%
Armor 63%
Evasion 73%

1200+ life
1000+ energy shield



That's way too little health and shield for those levels. I have 3k+ ES and CI, and I'm having a good challenge on lvl 60. Armor should be better but isn't, I'll give you that, but evasion only works a percentage of the time so you can't count on it on heavy hits. I don't know what you need at lvl 70 but it's definitely more than 3500.

I run my maps double corrupt every other day because you cant even sustain vaal orbs to do it constantly. Either it takes you 20+ min for 1 map or someone beign a little bit cunning.

PS only now noticed. So you did 3 chaos trials 10lvl and were so lucky that got 3 different fragments? That is only way to obtain 4th ascendance throuh chaos trials.


Im playing totems atm because i cannot get a decent reduced attributes 2h, crafted/found a few good ones just cant get that last roll. These are weapons I can find for 10-20ex on trade, its been impossible ssf. And getting 600 str to not need that roll is even more unrealistic.

Was lucky enough to get a svalinn from my first olroth so that helps quite a lot.

Took me 15 runs of ultimatum to get a single cowardly fate, it sucked but im good on chaos res soul cores for a while. Whole ordeal took around 3 hours.

Died once to the bird boss because i tried shield charging out of a tornado and the animation lock got me killed, have 25% ms boots that seems good enough to avoid him just running in a circle posistioned on the outer ring at all times.

Totems are something anyone playing warrior can switch to in trade for like under 100k gold, and like 20ex worth of gear from any proper melee build, if they find either ascendency route too difficult.

Also I didnt say I was running double corrupt easily. Dying every 10-12 maps means I cant level up at all at 92. If I was in trade I would have 2x as much hp and regen, significantly more damage and armour, capped chaos res, much more block, and no issues with attributes for under 10 divines.

You need to learn what is dangerous, you need to know how map mods are going to effect that. Added cold can be nasty because you cant really rely on your charm to save you from getting frozen. Crit mods... pen mods...

That is obvious, i know that and im not facerolling or playing braindead. I was telling about it, that i keep all that in mind, but still getting oneshotted by some bosses.

A few things to keep in mind perhaps:

1. GGG was founded to make a game that was very challenging and made for the advanced gamer - not for the casual gamer. Part of that legacy survives and fuckhole one-shot bosses persist.

2. The current endgame is a short-term fix for a rushed-release EA. It blows and I assume will undergo lobotomy and brain transplant before release. You do have to remember you're not playing all that's intended and you're not playing a full game. Yeah I know you paid for it. So did I, so what.

3. If has been mentioned, the 2 crew intend on a final release product that is farther from 1, more approachable playstyle and perhaps more forgiving, well they are still in a separate universe and a shit ton of work needs to be done.

Despite all that, I'm having fun but not taking it all so serious.

I remember some games released in 2024 with same rhetoric and, oh boy, they've become the rock wich started avalanche for their developers. I personally hate this kind of excuses. I know that im not playing unintendedly, but it does not change any facts, and the facts are - the game is VERY EA and FAAAAAAAAR away not even from finish but also from balance.

In fact Im just frustrated about GGG fucked up 2h melee builds, life rely only builds again. Its just POE 1.1. ES, MoM, HI, casters rules again. That is sad.

Im having fun too, but still cant let go my 2h melee and move on with ES/MoM mainstream bullshit
Here's a tip. Press spacebar when you see the boss do the most obvious skill that takes more than 1 second to cast. This is a skill issue.

Too fat
I am tired of one shot death with top gears. even at the act maps, so stupid. Are we here to have a fun or purnishment from low tier maps. I payed this game since about year after poe1 released. currently over 11k ES. can not stand on one shot from act1 mobs

One shots really getting on my nerves, been annoying since they became present on every boss sometime in base difficulty Act 2, but we're now in Act 2 Cruel and my brother's sorc is far, *far* tankier than my monk. He can eat what is a 1 shot for me and just lose energy shield. All my gear is yellow level 45, many bis stats according to my build guide, I mess up once, he's trying to revive me or doing pitiful damage cuz he's trying to play fire when the game doesn't support it yet.

One shots were what everyone hated about Diablo III Inferno, and that was having to beat the campaign on *three difficulties* to get there. And people absolutely despised it. As I said this has been a thing since Act 2 base difficulty, it so far has not been a dealbreaker but I'm getting real sick of it. It is early access and these games tend to get power creep, I have over 40 hours so I'm not bitter if we end up quitting shortly and coming back after it gets more time in the oven, just not sure why they decided they needed to do this. Game is literally a lot of fun and doesn't feel remotely challenging when you're doing anything but bosses, just fun mowing down enemies, then you do a boss or even a miniboss and it's ultra sweat mode. Can't grind for levels due to getting peanuts for XP from always being overleveled for Cruel maps so far, you don't get drops in campaign and upgrades outside of weapons aren't even big upgrades in campaign. Just another mistake DIII Inferno made you'd hope you never see a dev repeat again, with DIII the terrible, terrible excuse for the terrible drop rates is they wanted you to spend money on the RMAH to gear up to make them rich for screwing you for being an addict, here idk if it's because it's early access so they haven't totally thought it through and finished balancing, or if it's because they think this is a good way to make a game.

As far as hitting spacebar to dodge when you see the attack winding up... they spin to track you while they're winding up. You have to dodge at the last second to avoid it. And every boss that has a windup for the same oneway slam attack that tracks you til the last second, has different timing on when it finally executes in your direction. This "spin to track you til the last second" is another thing Diablo III Inferno did lol. I feel like this is just some joke they're having at our expense right now. Literally nobody back then thought Diablo III Inferno mode was good, not even people with wallets blowing cash to chew through it to feel better than others when they were just showing they were the worst case ARPG addict. But this game is copying mechanics from that mode. It's just code, it can be changed, but... gee whiz.
