NERF items BUFF passives

What does powerful mean? Clearing maxed out content with high pace and low risk?
If the passive tree was enough to do that, wouldn't that make item drops a lot less exciting and interesting, and currency a lot less valuable? Also sounds to me like it would make the game very easy for players who have a good idea about what to look for in the passive tree and how to build their characters. |

" This conspiratorial reaction is just sad. There's a massive amount of players who wish more of our overall power came from our character, and less from our gear. So that both progression and resulting power could be more guaranteed, less chanced; more buildup, less luck-jumps, more "who I created" less "what they're holding"; more from what you pick while leveling, less from what fills your inventory. Strong characters, not just strong items. You're going to have to accept that. |

" There are people who wants it, but I highly doubt a massive amount of players actually wants gear to be hot fucking trash. If there's no grind for gear, this game becomes 100% pointless to most players. We have an economy with currency to craft and get top gear. This is not only a pillar, it its the base foundation of the game. Asking for end game items to be weak, is asking for the game to instantly become dead. Ok, so let's say we get 90% of our power with the tree. Then what? You get to level 90, which is extrememly easy, then drop the game? Why would you keep playing if you can destroy everything simply based on your skill tree and gems? This is such the worst idea possible, you guys don't know what you are asking for. This would be an instant game deletion for me. If the itemization is trash, the game becomes absolute trash. That's why some players have thousands of hours in, because they can keep getting better gear and min max their build. " I don't care to look like Alex Jones with a tin foil hat right now. This thread was created today. The push started yesterday from a different player. I immediately spotted there was a coordinated trend, then guess what, to that VERY tin hat foil theory, the OTHER guy that made that comment yesterday responded IMMEDIATELY in this thread. It's either that, or the players are parroting something a streamer said. It always come bundled like that and it's sickening. I really don't care if this is a coincidence, it's absolutely crazy to ask for gear to be less stronger than they currently are. The game is made by GGG, yes grinding GEAR games. Not grinding level games. You can easily clear most content without top gear anyways. The god tier gear is expensive and for min maxing and destroying the game to feel like a god. The vast majority of yellow drops is charsi food. 98% of uniques are trash. But here we are, having to read a thread actually asking for gear to be worse. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Oinkaments#6390 เมื่อ 22 ธ.ค. 2025 18:37:31

Nerf ES passives, buff all others

Yes, the game absolutely needs:
1. Less dependency on items (RNG) to progress in the game. 2. Less disparity between item power for better game difficulty balance. It's no fun to struggle too hard, and it's no fun to completely trivialize the game. Notice that games with proactive combat usually don’t have such ridiculous stat gaps, because they still need to keep the player engaged. I know it’s a different genre, but imagine Dark Souls where you one‑shot everything before it can even react. How long do you think that would stay fun? แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Lobo#4398 เมื่อ 22 ธ.ค. 2025 19:23:36

" That's right it's a different genre. This game is about good loot, remove good loot, the game dies, it's that simple. Either way, GGG will have the final words, if the loot becomes trash then it's going to be the game you want, but not the game the people playing this genre wants, and the animosity I will have toward GGG will be very hard to quantify, but it will be very high. |

" You are taking things to the extreme, nobody said nerf itens until they are trash or that 90% of power should come from passives, it's a fact that itens right now are too powerful, and nerfing gems and passives again will only make the builds evem more reliant on itens to work. Thats the mistake GGG is making in my opinion: They take the most used ascendancie and skill and nerf them heavily, then people go to another ascendancy and another skill and they nerf it again. Repeat this process a lot and you will see that builds will become more even more reliant on items, which makes the problem even worse. People who can grind god like itens will still think the game easy while more casual players will struggle even more, only making the gap between these two types of players bigger. Itens should be good, grinding should be rewarded, Most uniques are indeed trash, but thatis not reason to leave itens they are right now, especially + skill mods. Nerfing endgame rare itens will make the top power of players lower, which will give them the challenge they want without hurting those at the bottom If not this, what you suggest them? |

" Imagine that some people actually want more from the game than just empty dopamine addiction. | |
" That's a totally different issue. And they will not stop doing it because that's what they do, brick good builds. The team that do the balancing gives absolute no fucks about destroying fun builds, they even said on video they are dead inside to feedback and they apparently can recognize what's important from noise. But the thruh is they absolutely don't. Just do not touch the items, it's the most important things in the game, never ask them to nerf it, because that's what they love to do. In 0.2, they bricked almost all uniques that was remotely usable. If you ask them to nerf items, they absolutely will do it, and you will feel miserable as fuck because they will also nerf and brick your fun builds that you loved. |

i dont think tree is weak. It should be weaker than gems and items. Yet the items are just extremely impactful, both difference in bases and power of 6(!) affixes.
