Lack of visual clarity and monster balance in endgame needs adjustment.
" I'd like more updates that focus on NOT clearing as fast as possible, but instead fighting big bads that are beefy. Boss fights are where combat really shines in PoE2.. trying to blend that into maps more would be sweet.. |

" This is where the game feels like it really disconnects between endgame and campaign. People complain about the campaign to rush to maps due to loot FOMO, but I'd argue campaign has some of the best feeling of progression, combat, and visual clarity! I KNOW how to fight the guys carrying the coffins in Act 1 graveyard, how to dodge the disc holding guys in mawdun quarry, and I can easily negotiate the fights. In endgame the enemy damage and density and effects all overlap so intensely, you have to explode the entire screen at once because otherwise you will be swarmed. So that endgame combat just devolves into POE1's style of survivors game, which is great but doesn't play to what makes PoE2 combat so great. |

Tbh visual clarity is better this patch, but it completely falls apart in high tier maps.

You literally can't see what's happening at all when you're doing higher level maps.
There are too many mobs, too many effects, and absolutely zero clarity. Often times you can be one-shot to things you couldn't see, either because they're covered by everything else or simply didn't render. The campaign is so good and then maps are soo ugh. Can play a character that can shrug 99.9% of things off, but sometimes there's just one little thing that'll just gib you out of nowhere. |

" That's the only way GGG historically really balances around how fast and strong we get... remember old volatile packs on PoE1 exploding us? lol. Then people get mad about lack of defenses -- if you can invest in defenses enough to avoid one shots, then it's working... But if you make the monsters all crackheads and swarm you because the expectation is players to be so strong/fast and league mechanics have timers to kill 4-5-6 screens of enemies in seconds... Then players will obviously oblige and focus on that! But it diminishes the combat experience. People dont even know what some mobs even DO due to this. |
