So what is better when you start mapping? death's opus or lioneyes glare? also if i dont have reach should i use gmp in my barrage setup?

Hi just upgrade my gear to get a 5L Reach. Is my next upgrade a 6L QotF or Dying Sun? Or should I just buy a Temp Chains on Hit Snakebite first?

The gem setup is not set in stone and your setup makes very much sense. As long as you oneshot white mobs, its totally fine, thats what LA is supposed to do, rares will be handled with barrage anyways.


So guys I encourage you to try out things for yourself, do research, swap gems, make tests to find your personal perfect setup for this build idea. Don't take it as a blueprint to copy, but more as a rough guideline that needs your input to be finished.

This is one of the best guides Ive read so far, I've learnt so much about the game going through it (info on flasks, mechanics, playstyle, variations, gear, everything). You're doing a great service to the community, really.

I'm a semi-new player and I've "upgraded" from LiftingNerdBro guides, no personal offence to him, but his guides/builds are TERRIBLE compared to yours, I've read/tried most of them until I decided to read into some "new stuff", I'm happy I found this.

Thank you again and keep up the good work, that's great spirit and advice, I'll try new gem setups and keep finding what suits me best.

I keep crit strikes because consistency is very useful, especially when you've got Uber Lab done for Toxic Delivery. 100% uptime on diamond is nice, but without inc crit strikes I don't think I cap out.

Why do you like tornado shot?
I really hate the skill, it's a lot more "brain intensive" to aim, instead of just spamming lightning arrow in the direction you want.

The extra projectiles tend to hit things I'm not aiming at, which I quite like. It'll soften up/kill things I haven't targeted, and it takes care of rares and things very well. But personally it's also my favorite bow skill since it was added to the game. Almost every league I've made some form of TS character in one way or another.

I did a few lab runs yesterday and ended up with a +2 barrage vertex. I already have a devoto's with 40% barrage damage so I'm not sure it's worth giving up the extra speed for the +2. I don't have a Dying sun or the +1 Drillneck yet though so it's tempting.

It's alright, but you really need a reliable source of poison application. Snakebites or Cospri is the ideal choice for that. Otherwise there'd be no point in picking Shadow for this.

What helm enchant would you recommend before getting barrage? Additional barrage attack speed, or one of the LA enchants? Thanks for the guide it has been great fun.

can i get some advice on the easiest way to upgrade my character? my jewelry is probably my weakest items.
