How does the totem damage boots help us? Isn't it only applies to socketed gem in the boots?

Hi buddy,

the "increased totem damage" on (shaper/elder) boots is a global totem damage buff.

Compared to the 40% increased damage against ignited enemies on the gang´s momentum boots, you will lose only a tiny bit of total damage output, but you are more flexible on elder/shaper based boots and get an additional item slot where you can have a life roll.

Note:
the "ranged attack totem" on shaper based or the "spell totem" on elder based doen´t matter, because you have the blasphemy curse setup in the boots. The important roll is just the "increased totem damage"

(Other useful stats = movement speed + resists + life)

For me it is worth it every time...

Ah thanks for clearing it up. I didn't know it's a global buff.

Edit: But then what are we supposed to socket in our boots? Everything that's socketed inside will be linked to the built in totem skill.

You can't link a curse to spell totem boots, this will break the blasphemy setup and cast the curse as a totem.

If you use a blasphemy setup you need to have a ranged attack totem boots, if you use frenzy curse setup you need to have spell totem boots or it wont work

Very good build and fun to play.
First time I almost done 36 challenges and killed Uber Elder.

I believe in Betrayal Lioneye Glare is better than Chin Sol for this build.
With Chin it's only 5-8% more damage on melee range, and with monsters moving + knockback effect it's not optimal.

Build is GREEEAAAT and a holottafun!

Yup, you still need a point blank skirmish for the big melee dps.

With a well rolled 28% quality lioneye's glare you lose 4% damage compared to chin sol in melee range(and will give a slight boost in damage at long ranges)

In addition to this you will no longer need accuracy anywhere which will make gearing a bit cheaper on gems especially.

Is the Lethality (Crit with bows) cluster really worth it ? I mean I don't see the point of just getting a little bit of crit (especially since the gear is really not crit oriented). Reaching 25-30% or having nothing is almost the same in my opinion. Or am I missing something ?
