hi, would this be a viable build for a fresh player? I started in blight and managed to reach uber elder but that was it, following a beginner friendly guide with leveling tips.
In terms of early leveling is there any tips ? Also with 3.9 do you recommend this as a league starter? |

" It will need testing, but ultimately I think the nerf to the number of projectiles, will hurt more than the range nerf. It will make leveling easier, but we didn’t really need that. Damage on bosses should be the same, the 20% project damage loss is pretty meaningless. Adding in chain for pierce may give us enough clear to feel good, but I’ll have to wait and see. Either way though the build is still alive as it can use any mine skill (pyroclast was untouched and arguably much stronger at dps, but worse in clear), and I’ll still be starting it, but will need to test the new support gems and icicle to see how much the clear was actually affected. |
|
" Should be fine, I’ll be using the build and leveling with icicle / pyroclast. |
|
" No nerf to single target, and chain is probably the way to go now, but overall it wasn’t hit in the dps department which is good, clear may be affected though. |
|
" Quality nerf, if it is even a nerf, doesn’t do anything. 20% proj damage in the scope of things is less than 1% of our dps. Losing the projectiles sucks though, unsure what this will mean for clear, but doesn’t affect bossing what so ever. |

This build will in some form be an excellent starter, it doesnt matter if life or ci/ll whatever.
Which mine will we use? Most likely Icicle, Arc, or Ball Lightning. What would have to change on the tree? Basically nothing... There could be an argument for projectile speed, in the icicle cas, but sources on the tree dont look really that decent Leveling... If you level softcore, just give hybrid a try, it may seem like a real challenge, but in the end, its a piece of cake, especially if it isnt your first character (if it is your first maybe look at a life version of the build) Leveling trees... Well you have two days, get path of bulding, load the endgame tree, make a copy of the tree and start looking: where is easy hybrid life?, then you allocate it. Then you start removing points from the ends of the tree. Look which notables read like they make or break the build, those should maybe be your priority to reach early, but maybe the path to them doesnt get lots of good hybrid rolls,.. it is always a balance. Also flat life or just life nodes can be taken, always nice to have. Just dont be afraid to mess around a bit, you can restart with buy copying the final tree again. That way i build myself usually a few trees (level 30 50 75 etc) If you just try those things for yourself, i absolutly promise you, you will be a way better player with your next builds, maybe you even try your own, but at the least you wont have to blindly follow a path, you have achieved true freedom to make changes without being afraid to mess up. Trying ES is what got me from following the crowd to actually having some variance in my trees. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Despiteful#3550 เมื่อ 11 ธ.ค. 2019 11:08:43

First of all thank you very much for this guide and you constant updates!
Patch notes sounded kind of devastating, but your thoughts don't make it seem so bad. Would this build also work as a GC Miner? |
|
Bossing seems like a big part of this league that it feels safe going this build even if mapping will be slower.

I'm wondering how Deadeye would feel for Icicle, you get the projectile speed, a free projectile and a small pierce, link it with chain and should feel quite good. On the other hand you would loose quite some survive and placement/detonation speed together with generic mine damage.
What do you think about that? |
