So, got Sirus 9 deathless, simulacrum, feared (easy mods) and the other hard invitations, delve bosses except aul (still looking for him), maven and deathless HoGM on this build so I can say it has what it takes to be counted as a great build.

However, it is a "workman's build" meaning it's not just "pick 7 uniques, six link and some 20ex (cluster) jewels and you're roflstomping all content" like archmage hiero or the old CI HOWA juggernaut.

You actually need to constantly improve your gear and pay attention to map mods if you want to progress without having godly gear. That being said, in the current meta I'd say it's one of the top 10 builds that can be fun to play and to "win the league".

For people that complain about dying too often, these affixes should be avoided on red maps, at least I avoided them and leveled from 96 to 97 (including conquerors and guardians) without doing rotations:

- Players have 40% reduced Chance to Block
- Players are Cursed with Vulnerability
- Players have 60% less Recovery Rate of Life and Energy Shield
- no ES regen (duh)
- be very careful when there are two damage mods (especially monsters crit)

So yeah, it's a pretty big investment build (lots of crafting, be prepared to invest at least 20-25 ex to feel good), the playstyle is not that friendly for new players but if you read carefully the well explained build and are willing to go the distance it will be good to you.

Great feedback mate!
Gratz on completing all the content and good job:)

I would add a few counter-points;
You honestly don't need 20-25ex... look at my own current gear in this league.
I'm using a 5ex shavs(not corrupted), 50c amu, 70c weap, 1ex helm and a self-crafted shield/boots/rings, which only have costed me dense fossils at 1c each try (2c each try when u count the resonator --- you can grab dense @1c by using the live-search feature)

All in all, my gear is less or around 10ex now, many weeks into the league and I'm farming awakener 8(9 to be) with just my current stuff and a 90k tooltip.
I believe people like Ankhain and Vennto who went hard in with currency has 180k+ tooltips ;P (I'll drop a video below from tonights stream, you can also see the A8 kill in the vod)

Does this mean you shouldn't invest 20ex or 50ex or 100ex, if you have the currency? not at all! You can literally roll this build into infinity and beyond and make it to the point where you press once and watch A9 reset phase instantly. You can get double +1 weapons and +4 corrupt shavs and curse-corrupted crown.... you can get double and triple multiplier jewels etc etc.... there is no upper limit.

But do you need it, to clear the end-game? no... and that's why I'm streaming and showing my gear and my tooltip/damage etc, so people can see for themselves. I would call my current gear average and way below what I've been using in previous leagues (haven't had much motivation in this tiny league to grind, beyond clearing endgame stuff).

Level as life, switch to CI when you reach maps if you're poor/or league starting and start generating currency as CI. Get your 5 or 6L shavs, your amulet and a decent shield with es-recover. That's your basis and working from that you really shouldn't be dying/struggling much because all other pieces of gear are obtainable with decent amounts of ES for less than a few chaos each. :)

You can literally grab rings with 40+raw ES and 40int+ for 1c even the first days of a fresh league. You can grab off-pieces with 140-160es for a 1-3 chaos each and they'll still serve you when you switch from CI to low-life, so you're not having to re-invest again.

A lot of this comes down to experience with the build and ES gear and with trading and crafting obviously:) I think Vennto put it best when he said his first league in this build was completely different from his 2nd when he knew what to do/what to look for and what to get first.

The more you do it, the more you get used to what to craft and what to look for. Weapons is a place where you can save a ton of currency because they're the hardest for people to price. You can easily pickup weapons worth multiple ex for less than 50c. Your shield is also a place you can save a ton of currency by using the 2ex crafting method, described in the guide.

It's always great having feedback, so thanks!

I was kind of aiming my post to people that, like me, try this build and trap playstyle for the first time. Ofc if you know what you're doing and have 2-3-6 leagues worth of experience you can complete content much easier.

Regarding the budget, you can be unlucky like me and sink 2-3ex in a crafting session with dense fossils or zeal essences with 0 luck then hit the %es + flat es + t1 res on a belt from the second zeal essence in the next session lol. At least the upside is that you can sell some of those "failures" for quite a bit of ccy. If you buy Decent gear without crafting for some reason it's gonna be more expensive for sure, but crafting can be unlucky too, trust me.

I was surprised to see that shields like mine with crap ES but with t1 spell block along the %ES on block and some res go for 5ex + and it just feels nice to have capped attack and spell block (divergent tempest shield also helped). I could drop a harvest defense craft on it but I personally hate TFT or buying crafts so I never use it.

So yeah there are a lot of things to improve and I did that because I lacked experience with the playstyle and kept dying bullshit random deaths, including a failed Sirus 8 which almost got me to quit the build, but I kept pushing and now I feel I'm in a decent place.

I also factored in the bottled faith which works great with this build and with the watcher's eye zealotry "enemies take increased damage while on consecrated ground" and which cost 12 ex when I grabbed it (17 ex now). Sure you can do all content without it because you're the build's daddy but it just feels nice to drop it and have a goodly burst of damage and some survive.

Trust me, crafting unluckiness is my nickname ;D

And no worries, that's why I said your feedback is great and I applaud you for not giving up and now instead having cleared all the endgame. They did change the game in 3.15 for many people and many decided to not bother with the league.

When I add some counterpoints, its only for people to have the different angles and like you, to not give up but instead figure out what to do and heck, maybe to promote they visit/watch my stream! haha ;)

What is your tooltip avg hit in your HO mate?
Obviously now you've got bottled faith etc etc, so you probably instant-phase Sirius 9 at this point, but for comparisons sake to get a sense if your first struggle vs Sirus 8 was dps related or play/mechanics related. Because even with just 90k tooltip, I last night streamed that A8 was pretty much a runover kill with very fast phases. I say *just* 90k because I know there's plenty people in this thread already with 140-180k. Double the damage of my current league character. I don't think me being the author(daddy ;d) gives me any special power or being better at boss mechanics ;D We all right click and dance!.. & when we have stupid amounts of gear, we just right click and skip all mechanics.

About crafting;
āļŠāļ›āļāļĒāļĨāđŒ
it's usually how I make majority of my income and people tend to really underestimate how much $$ they can make by just self-crafting and then selling surplus gear.

Idk how many gloves I sold, even in this tiny league where I'm hoping to hit trap throw speed, but instead hit the much more common faster-casting + good ES... and sell them for 5-10 times the value of the base.

I'd say that I've never yet in 6 leagues+ experienced to not end up positively on currency if you craft with dense fossils. Dense are so common in delve that they are always readily available every league and cheap.
The shield as example, if you spend a 100c on dense/resonators, there is almost no way you won't end up with something worth far more to sell or use, even with bad luck. I'd say more often than not I end up with multiple pieces worth using/selling, where I re-buy the base after selling the first one and that way currency starts rolling in.

In THIS current league it takes more time to sell crafts.
The league is tiny, the market is tiny and the people playing/needing crafts... not that many, sadly. Still sold quite a few shields at 3ex+ and a lot of high ES gloves when not hitting throw speed% :) Hopefully 3.16 will fix the tiny league problem.

I streamed 3-4 crafting streams so far this league to show new players how relatively easy you can craft ES gear. Every rare gear aside the belt I'm wearing is crafted on stream with just single resonator dense fossils.

For the belt, if you've got plenty currency, go with deafening zeals, if you're kinda poor, buy the lower tiers of zeals that give 15-17% or even go 1 tier lower and get them at 0.5 - 1c, then combine them.

Also again, I would stress to new players or anyone who is kinda poor. don't buy bulks. In POE bulk = more expensive ;P
If you use the Live Search and put dense at 1c to show up.. you can easily collect 100 dense within an hour playing, at 1c each.

-----------

I think for 3.16, if everything is still good and they don't break something, my main updates (outside of whatever patch notes they release), will be to share some trade links and add more crafting tips in that section. Heck maybe even make a video guide for those not patient to read a full txt guide. :) *maybe*! we'll see.

It's 120k with a decent 52% increased trap throw speed and divergent cluster traps (at one point it showed 69 but dunno wtf happened and now it's 52). Not insta-phasing him since a good chunk of my pob dps implies him standing in my bottled faith consecrated ground and the bastard jumps around a lot :D. Yeah I was just shaking my head at Vennto's weapon when I saw it.. that thing should be illegal.

Hi, I am trying to follow this guide. I suppose you can see my "Gvftmrsczdi" character's gear and tree.
What next?
For example, selling my all precious Alterations, in order to get Exalts, for a 6-linked Shavronne's?...
Hi people, got a few upgrades since last post.

What should be my next upgrade? I was thinking bottled faith or shavs(+2 plus 40-50 dmg) or something like that (+3 shavs prices are skyrocketing :()

thanks!

+2 Shav, Bottle of faith is your next upgrade
how do you think about my ring and belt? all of them got by self crafted

Belt is pretty good, nice hit on the suffixes and decent hit on the slam. Def. top tier item.

Ring is meh - good int and very nice ES rolls, but the low Evation and rarity rolls are bad, so I´d give that more like a 6/10 in terms of end-game itemization. If you manage to fit all your res already though, then it´s a good fit :) In the end it depends on your overall itemization to determine how strong a single item is and what purpose it fulfils. Global crit strike chance (crusader mod) or incr. lightning dmg would be far better suffix options though.
I'm curious what you all think about this 20/22 Divergent Vaal Lightning Trap gem I just created - compared to the generic Level 21/20 Lightning Trap I was using.

The Divergent has about 10% less base damage and does not have the 20% Increased damaged damage (which I think is additive).

But each ball has a 22% chance to return - they go all over the place it's hard to track them. But it seems like a single additional hit would make up for the lost base damage. In addition every few seconds you get to use the Vaal version, which leaves a huge shocked area. But'm not sure if this stacks with skitterbot shock or is nullified by Elemental Focus (the animation doesn't seem to be)

Anecdotally the Divergent Vaal gem seems better, curious if anyone else has opinions on this.
