It may not be on your tree, but man it is going to be REAL hard to skip over that 45% chaos res that Shadow gets, right by the trap nodes.
And "Corrupted Blood cannot be inflicted on you". I think it's kinda very good wheel.
I think that too, and if you get the implicit later you can change the mastery to other stuff (like 7 more chaos 12 all res or maybe swap it to hinder maim immune for mapping).
im having some survival issues... i switched to arcanist brand but my question is...
How should we use Arcanist Brand? Should we keep throwing it at random? Does it increase survival?!
Thanks
Your survival issues stems from leveling your IC combo to 20.
It should be IC lvl 5, CWDT lvl 3 (at most).
You also leveled your wave to 20 even though it's lvl 1 in the guide heh, so you're probably reflect killing yourself often.
Also temper quality your amulet for 220 more ES.
Hope it helps :)
Thanks alot, gonna try it now!
By the way, what abour the level of other gems? should i follow exactly the level of all of them? For example, Bear Trap is lvl 1 and Sigil of Power is lvl 10... why cant they be lvl 20 20%? thanks alot for helping me out, love your build! Please update it on 3.16! I wanna play it again!

There are different reasons for each gem that is not max.
Wave of Destruction should be level 1 so you don't kill yourself in physical damage reflection maps and Atziri fight.
Sigil costs too much mana. Bear trap has same effect at level 1 and level 20 - we use it just for trap damage exposure, it just costs more mana.
CWDT has high strength requirement so it is hard to max it and all linked to it gems need to fit its criteria to trigger (for example at level 1 - "This Gem can only Support Skill Gems requiring Level 38 or lower) - this automatically means the gems linked to CWDT can't be max level else they won't trigger.
Only thing i'm really worried about is the change to blind meaning the build will basically lose that mitigation. The born in shadows node seems underwhelming after the update
*edit*
There's undoubtedly stuff I overlooked, this is just taking a very fast glance at the new skill-tree and with a very very rough pathing, I'm getting close to similar damage as previous league, while having some pretty beefy defense upgrades. I might even be exceeding the damage from last league, because right now I feel there's a bunch of masteries that are broken and not counting properly in POB yet for the dmg they should be adding.
But in general, there's access to more mana reservation reductions, even to the point where I feel it would be easy to fit Arctic Armour and/or Vitality as extras. (i'd prolly drop the 20% duration increase on IC for one of those).
Also, so much es% regen which stacks with our es-regen ascendancy and zealots oath conversion. I'm seeing close to 2k es regen with a very rough tree.... should be pretty damn beefy.
The tree i'm playing with right now, doesn't have glancing because we get so much spell-block in the tree itself + 25% from tempest shield... which means we get close to capped spell-block, without glancing, which would be amazing as it'd mean 65% less damage taken from blocks that GB normally adds. We'd be vulnerable to attack-block, but even this seems to be more readily available in gear in 3.16 and i'm far less scared of attacks than 1 shot boss spells, especially if we can now fit arctic armour for added phys% def and freeze immunity. Oh and add in 30% less dmg taken from crits.. so much beef!
There are so many ideas in my head and so many possibilities right now, plus so many questions to be answered and things I can't truly test yet.
I don't really wanna post a half-baked POB since I've only really sat with a working POB that updated 1hour ago when I got back home:) (i streamed earlier today with a broken pob), so this is ultra fast that I've put together some pathing just to see how much I could make things resemble the 3.15 version.
screeny of my pob from .. right this second.
It's only 98 points + Alira, so potentially 4 points missing still and I haven't picked up some multiplier nodes yet damage is still however 2mil (3.15 tree had this gear at 2.2mil, so very close considering there's a bunch of stuff that is missing right now still or doesn't seem to be counting/working yet in POB - also gems aren't updated in pob and the awakened ones got buffed in 3.16 + missing 22% spellblock from tempest as its also still the old gem)
Oh and this is WITHOUT a thread, so a big upgrade to the build if we can skip using a thread of hope.
But again, there are so many changes, i'll need some time and obviously I'm relying on you all as well, as 1000 brains works better than one and we only have a few days to get as *ready* as possible. :) The mega skill-tree overhaul caught everyone off guard I think, but in a cool way! So much stuff to test now in 3.16... It's kinda like starting the league semi-blind, in the sense that no-one really will know everything until it's been tried and tested.
I'll of course league start LTrapper as usual and stream it:)
These following days i'll continue working on a tree for the guide to have it ready before launch.

Yes, though they stated in patch notes that the blind ascendancy is under review, so I'm assuming the ascendancy point is changing to become useful more broadly (not just for evasion)... but we will see! If not, then I'd drop born in the shadows for explosives expert. We get more ES and much more regen, plus we'll probably be able to reach 50+ spellblock without any gear, just from the tree + tempest, so i'd drop glancing blows and get a bit of block on gear. Without glancing we're not taking 65% of the dmg and we'd get the 30% less dmg taken from crits for sure as well + be able to fit arctic armor most likely with the new reservation values, to beef up even more.
As a side-note we don't get the full gem changes apparently until the 21st.
As a secondary note, if blind stays as it is, it should encourage more life+evasion trappers, which would be awesome (imo) for us ES trappers having cheaper less popular ES gear. Life+Evasion always seem far more expensive in the high-end as it's used by a wide range of life builds.
current POB i'm toying with, though masteries are broke in some cases/not counting and the awakened gems are still the old unbuffed 3.15 ones and missing 25% spellblock from tempest etc. https://i.imgur.com/V4V8emG.png

Sounds good and makes sense, thanks for the updates. Looking forward to this as I haven't played a trapper in a while and looks like a nice build that you can scale up really well.
I know how hard it is right now with SOOO much changes and so many different avenues and approaches to consider that it will take quite a while to tweak and optimize.
