I would say it's OP save for the fact that I haven't seen a harvest for almost a week.
Figures that as casual/binge player they would stop showing completely around the time I figured out how to use them. So essentially I gained nothing from harvest in this league. It seems that the kingpins and exploit users stand to capitalise from these mechanics while it's relevant, yet go on to keep the fruits of this after any nerfs are put in place anyway. So you could say that any potential nerfing at this point would only serve as a hindrance to casual players, at least as far as the current league and standard is concerned. But on the grand scheme of things I am actually in agreement with OP. Maybe not for the exact same reasons, but to me it feels like nothing is sacred anymore and that both Harvest/Menagerie has cheapened the crafting meta. Items with really good stats aren't much to behold now because there are entirely too many ways to go about crafting them and with much more consistent results. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I like the old crafting meta as even new players could stand to find good stuff purely on the basis of RNG, items that would stay relevant the entire league. I would say that this whole conundrum is a by-product of flooding the game with too many league mechanics. By the time a new players or even a casual returning player figures out the convoluted mess that is the Atlas, the kingpins are already monopolising trade with more advanced mechanics, which has the unfortunate effect of making trade nearly inaccessible for new players, simply because they can't compete with the crafting meta and the depreciation of regular found items that goes with it. I'm Left of Right and far Right of Left. |

Times change brotatoes. Isn't that what you smart guys always say when nerfs happen. Harvest gave us a new way to reliably power up. Use it.

" ^^This, Harvest if you dont trade is a great addition.. Even tho i play in trade league i barely trade, and for me its much more valuable to craft with fossils, then sometimes i get lucky with harvest, and finish the craft. |

" I think the discussion is pointless, because you are not interested in what I have to say. Have fun though. Hope Harvest will evolve into a more useful system for everyone in the future. Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

I'm playing SSF in a private league rn, and without harvest I'd be screwed. I don't see an issue with letting people craft endgame items that are actually usable.

It doesn't need a nerf, just remove it from any atlas passive trees.

A real concern should be the exploit that some players do running virtual machines and several clients.

Besides Standard players (my case), no one cares about "mirror-service items" losing its value. It's always been, since GGG every patch introduces new content that out dates older items, such as white sockets, belt enchants, catalysts and so on.
Are you aware that making really powerful items still require a level of knowledge that the "casual" players don't have? That's why more experienced players make profit crafting items themselves, and selling them, instead of only selling the harvest bench. If GGG doesn't nerf Harvest -I really hope they don't-, mirrors will be still used for items that provide an insane added value, such as double/triple implicit synth items or "tempered" 6t1 phys weapons. Makes a lot of sense that people can have a life outside of PoE and make something near a min-maxed char in three months. |
