-rework: enemies instant-spells = math-game || very unfitting for meaningful combat cuz can't avoid with skill

Completly over tuned mechanic.
Should it makes you avoid them, and enrich the gameplay -> yes
Should it insta kill you while even cannot see them -> no

40% chaos res + 4200hp -> got one shot.

This game needs balance in so many areas...

By the way, same bullshit with lighting from shrine.

Or change it to make it shoot chaos laser or something I don't know. Being chased around almost continuously by these little purple balls is just exasperating.

There is more than 1 dimension to mechanics like this. Very unfair rare mod that punishes and annoys melee characters mainly. The brainless thing to do would be leaving it how it is
my only complaint is many of the effects linger for far to long. and it's true they aren't hard to deal with once you learn how, but every mob can be dead and those things linger forever, making them an annoyance. the smuckers jam blood pools are my biggest gripe, standing there waiting for them to clear kills the momentum.

100% agree

I think there are far too many on-death damage monsters in the game. Totally disrupts the flow and pace of mapping especially. Some of them can have their "on-death" effects reworked and actually be challenging/fun to deal with rather than this kindergartener painting we've got

I honestly feel like so many things that were just "borderline fine" to deal with in 0.1.0 have been exacerbated negatively in 0.2.0, such as these volatile plants. I guess thats just the problem you get when you nerf players into the space time continuum!!!

you actually would rather have unavoidable dmg, because laser beams, over stuff you can dodge yourself?

cmon now. unavoidable dmg? that should help with the issue? pls read about light-stuns dude. unavoidable dmg is the worst :-)

addendum: every "Hit" (including your lasers) has a chance to light-stun you. being unable to avoid said hits, would just cause more issues down the line getting chain-stunned more often.
exception ofc if those hits would be that small pre-mitigation so it would be kinda pointless to even implement it in the first place.
pre-mitigation matters here a lot, else some builds would get screwed over a lot more than others, which would impact build diversity on a different lvl. it's no easy task balancing and implementing stuff :-)

Still an issue. died 4 times in 2 hours now all 4 times is to these, either it's because the rare is in a narrow path where you cannot maneuver, or you try to run through them and get stunned by a ranged mob just as you get to it, or a mob teleports behind you not allowing you any where to dodge, or they spawn inside of something or behind a wall where you cannot see them. Worst mechanic in the game imo.
new patch made them fly FASTER as well

Devs want us to die more often so we play longer
