Chaos Plants that shoot the purple orbs

If they spawn on you your pretty much dead. These are the only thing that has killed me in 0.2. And really suck when they are added to a rare with that damn mana drain ring.

A bit of a damage reduction would go a long way.
70% of my Leap Slam warrior deaths are those purple guys.
45% chaos res, 3700hp. No matter. You missed an angle, get a bit stack on terrain, a mob with bubble - and you are done.

Another 30% are catching everysingle projectile midleap to full stack of shooting ticks.
You guys ever had a ritual as a Warrior with these plants around? Good luck getting off a single Sunder because these things would threaten to obliterate you. And no, running through them is not an option either because of how dense the mobs are in this kind of content. Johnathan must have been cucked by a melee player back then I guess.
It's just another case where it makes certain abilities and setups almost impossible which encourages people to play 1-button range builds.

Can I deal with plants on my parry Amazon? Yes, but god damn it's *so hard.* Honestly I think they should just move slower, but still be allowed to spawn somewhat close to you. This way you're encouraged to move and pay attention, but it doesn't just kill your ability to attack.

It's really noticeable when you have plants with a slow bubble. So much pain for melee, or any of the skill-based builds, and yet utterly inconsequential for a ranged character. This is the case with most of the really challenging rare affixes.
I only play range but melee currently has almost no way of dealing with these because melee is an afterthought.

Marginally; they also disappear immediately when the mob or event that spawned them dies or ends which is something many people asked for but it seems like nobody noticed or acknowledged.
My biggest problem in this game, 70-80% of my deaths are from these plants. Can handle bosses easily, no problems with mob groups of 30+ enemies at once, but these plants often do spawn in very dense situations, when you can't put 100% concentration just on these purple balls but have to evade 10+ other attacks or might get stuck between monster masses and blocking environment objects.

I don't suggest removing them, but just to turn down their damage a bit so they won't one-hit every time they do achieve to impact. My witch is currently at 1590hp, 4288 shield, 42% chaos res, and they one-shot me.
