Evasion is awesome. Just don't go all out evasion ignoring everything else. Weaving in even a small amount of ES goes a long way. I'm sitting at 84% evasion with Hyrri's, 1.5k HP, 1k ES. I basically never die outside of bugs like citadel bosses not doing the phase transition, or when I screw up on Arbiter.

Even as Merc, you can just run ES helmet and boots while anointing something like Heavy Buffer or Patient Barrier. That's very little investment.

EXP loss is perfect the way it is. Deal with it intentionally if you want those optional levels past 90, or just ignore EXP once you get to that point. The extra talents provide almost no extra benefit anyways.


Evasion works in late endgame only if combined with ES. Evasion/Armor, which is what the merc tree is designed around, is complete trash.

XP loss is not perfect the way it is and the tired argument that those extra points don't provide extra benefit is just flat out wrong, especially depending on the build.
Dear ggg, you want combo? delete high-density packs mechanics. The likes of breach, expedition, simulacrum, ritual do not fit the combo philosophy. The likes of death explosions have no place in souls game. Dead is dead.

Players complain about XP penalty but to them Penalty is not a problem as long as the death is meaningful. Dying to a stupid explosion (fungus?) while the screen is filled with effects is not meaningful.

Oh and stop copying the poison swamp from Miyazaki. His swamp is an art, your burning ground is a smelly thought.

With all the trashes you cooked up in your stinky basement, players can only enjoy 1 button screen clear. Your data told it.

We can all acknowledge that armor needs buffed or reworked. That doesn't mean you can't make Merc's defenses work. I literally just explained a very easy way.

You're wrong on the last 10 points. Simply wrong. Does not depend on the build. The fundamental math on which the game operates disagrees with you. This is not up for debate.

THE WORST COMBO I HAVE EXPERIENCED:

- ADDITIONAL FIRE ON THE GROUND + 3 CONSTANT CURSES THROUGH THE MAP + EXP LOSS WHEN U DIE

That's why Twitch is almost empty with PoE2 viewers (even D4 has more viewers!)
I stopped 1h after patch 0.2...game was simply UNPLAYABLE.
Game is already death and I am curious when GGG will release it.....

I stopped negative 5 minutes after patch 0.2.0
It is not the same judging xp loss when fighting with 1500 life , no ES and sh.t damage while others erase whole screen with actually half click while playing with 10k life or ES.

Absolutely unfair judgement from players feeling like playing in god mode.

If there is no balance there would be always posts about how unfair is the xp loss.

Sorry but you are flat out wrong. The math you speak of assumes those last nodes go into addition scaling of a stat I already scaled considerably. There are other options available.
