The recent currency drop buff was a mistake...

In under a month it's gone from 125ex to 1div to 350ex to 1div. This currency drop update has caused massive inflation. Which is fine, great even, if you are in the top 1% of no-life blasters. But for many others like myself it just means we are priced out of the market. At least before I could farm enough exalts to exchange for divines and have a hope of saving for a several divine item. Now that's completely gone. I don't blast enough to see any real increase in divines, nor do enough exalts drop to keep up with the inflation. And it's not like we have a good crafting system so that I could at least craft the upgrades I need. I play almost every day and only have 2 raw divines to my name. That's all I've had drop since the update.

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed in GGG constantly catering to the no-life blaster minority/poe1 Andys. First it was the no mid league nerfs during an early access BETA of all things then this. I love poe2. More than poe1 at this point, even after many, many years, thousands of hours and a lot of MTX. But moves like this really cut into that love. Poe2 has the opertunity to pull in a whole new group of people, hell it already has. But if they keep on making moves that favor the vocal minority of players they are really gonna hurt that. The fact that I feel forced to have to play LS (which I find completely unfun to play) to participate in the market is a big turn off. At least in poe1 I don't feel forced to play a super blasty meta build to participate in the market.

I'm sure I'm not alone in this view but we are also not the ones to make the most noise here on on the forums or reddit. But I'm saying something now cause I'm sitting looking at the icon on my desktop and I want to play but I'm just really put off by all this right now. I was so happy for poe2. If I want to 1 button blast there is poe1, D4, LE, TLI. And if I want super methodical there is NRftW. Poe2 was a wonderful happy medium. But that seems to be changing. The more the vocal minority get their way the more poe2 feels like it won't be for me after all. I really, really don't want poe1 just with better graphics...

Personally, I simply stop trading whenever it feels annoying to me. I don't play ssf, but I don't try to keep up with the Joneses and just have fun. I started a new character almost as soon as I reached endgame and alternated between leveling and progressing my endgame character; probably the worst thing I could do in terms of keeping up with the market, but probably the best as far as my personal enjoyment of the game.

Btw, trade your exalts for chaos whenever you can; the devaluing of exalts is exactly what happened last league, but chaos orbs remain a strong currency, I think divs are very slowly going down in value in comparison to them.
Screw the economy, orbs are made for crafting.

Drop buffs are a positive for players who use the gameplay mechanic as intended.

Stop thinking only on TRADE POV. The currency drop rate was essential for peopel that want to craft their own items as they go along playing

FUNNY

But I'm the one that gets put on probation while posts like this go unchecked insulting a majority of players. WTFE. MODS are so biased.

QUE? its good for evreone, more currency more crafting possibility more crafting more players. HOW IT CAN BE BAD FOR EVRYONE?!

its only causes damage to the traders who are one of main reasons that poe 2 in this state.

apparently saying that ggg wants that mtx while exploiting boredom of traders is "hatefull coment"
Who cares about traders in a single player game?
I want to craft not interact with chinese scammers.
Hard disagree. The currency buff was super necessary and frankly in campaign it's still not where it needs to be for crafting.
Inflation is an issue that GGG must tackle separately. There need to be currency sinks for players who are deep in the endgame. And perhaps the loot curve for bubble gum currencies can be flater. It's silly that players get almost none when they need them the most during the campaign and in T15/16 when everyone has their near perfect gear more of them drop in a single map than in whole campaign.

Also you don't need to no life the game to get at least few divines here and there. I run instilled T15 maps with like two towers with normal tablets that i find. They occasionaly drop a raw divine and more often than not something that can be exchanged for a divine at Alvas after a handful of maps.

I would love for that to be the case. But with the current crafting system as it is we are forced onto trade for upgrades. I would love to craft my own gear but its really limited right now.
