Please don't lock us out with Rapid Shot
10 seconds is WAY WAY above acceptable punishment for a skill that is made to get hot. 2 -3 seconds? Maybe. 10 just kills the skill.

" That won't really work I barely have any AS and I shot every 0.05s (round up). That means I would need to use specifically Incendiary Shot(the skills that consumes the most heat) every 1.5s. If I don't do it for only 3s I get insta-locked out of my main damage skill for 10s. I would actually still do it but swapping ammo or to grenade's takes a while so you need to swap to IS shot once and then swap back. If it were like 120 the limit I might consider because I could do like 90+ swap shoot 3 times then swap back, this way will be too clunk. There is no way I am playing this slow shit that if I mess will lock me out of playing. Why would I ever play this when I can just use lightning spear in a rhoa and clear the entire screen? That was not nerfed. I was doing because it was fun not optimal. Even for crossbows you could just use galvanic shards as a better clear skill and still take your pick for single target against bosses(rares don't need). Don't forget this skills actually slows you AND you needed to keep shooting at all times. If this goes throw(witch I hope it won't) I will just play Lightning rod/arrow deadeye in a rhoa like everybody else. This is will not be worth neither as a support skill(heat damage bonus removed) not as a main skill(lock out). |

" If it were not clunky no. But it is. The grenades stops you from shotting around 150ms for each one and you would need to throw 2 for every second and a half shooting that's a fucking lot. You shoot 1.5s and you loose 0.3s just throwing grenades to control the heat. This is assuming you do everything PERFECT if you do not you lose DPS if you forget for 3s lock out of the skill for 10s. This skill was barely used in 0.2 as a main skill. There was me and 3 other people in poe.ninja when I looked at the beginning of the league and I know poeninja are not all players but it kind represents what is being played. Even now there are exactly 158 playing rapid shot without grenades. The people who used normally as a setup were doing to get heat and get the payout with grenades to burst bosses witch I personally don't care at all. I was playing as a MAIN SKILL. By the way the way the skill was being played before got removed because heat bonus damage got removed from heat except for a couple skills so not payout anymore. They could make so heat applies to the skill damage only but they choose to remove instead and the compensation buff is so bad that Armour Piercing Rounds has more base damage than it now AND it removes armour as a bonus with no lock out. |

The lockout is stupid and will feel like shit.
If GGG wants a limiter they should just make heat reduce the skill's accuracy. Simple without being bullshit. |

Rapid shot does not give you any more dmg per hit now. So feed the heat gives you no benefit. Base dmg has been buffed and delays aswell as reload mali is gone. I was enjoying this skill very much, felt like Ellen Ripley or Mac from the very first Predator.
Now you have to dump granades and with enough attack speed, which doesnt help with grenade damage, your heat rate will be very very high. So you have to have both fire grenades in your skillbar to delete the heat, because they have long cooldowns and a limited magazin. Which wastes two skill slots - assuming you dont like grens. But maybe, there are unkown supportive options for grenades now, debuffing enemies, whatsoever. But overall and from what we know at the moment, the fantasy of just being a walking minigun, is gone. Which makes me feel really sad. Being a walking minigun is all i wanted from a crossbow in POE2. New version is much better. The delay at the start every time you wanted to use it was a deal breaker before. This version only has one downside, and that is that you can't use it as a one button build. Pick any of the grenades and hit their button once and a while and there is zero issue.

i could live with 2 sec for messing up and loosing the stacks, but 10. huuu thats nasty.
Hope something turns up that will make it, make sense so to say. Cant have to much Junk in your Stash

" That's only true if you stop shotting all the time. In that case that skill is one of the worst skills in the game both for clear and bosses. As I said just before Armour piercing rounds has more damage than it now and it is a debuff skill. The delay also only happened if you had no heat something that never happened after the first time because you were always shooting. Now it has 40% less damage than before but damage is physical instead of fire. It will also get heat way faster(you get to heat cap with 3s with no AS at level 20 with 20% quality even faster at lower levels). You need to throw a grenade every second just to not hit heat cap. If they made the cap for heat like 120s and the lockout for hitting 2s then it would be bad and heavily punished but playable. We can live with the nerf to the damage because phys is easier to scaler/convert than extra fire but not the rest it won't even be used as a set up. |
