For people having FPS-Issues
One other thing.
This may have been fixed, but the last time I played POE2 through Steam, nvidia incorrectly was using the POE1 profile. You can easily check this by going to nvidia control panel (not the app) and see if it's listed as POE or POE2. The standalone client correctly uses the POE2 profile. And in general I feel runs much better, but I haven't done any testing for actual empirical data on this so idk. If Steam still has this issue, you can change it with nvidia profile inspector (delete the exe from poe1 and add it to poe2). I believe thid also changes poe1 profile to 2 on steam since they decided to use the same exe name for whatever reason. |

Something that helped me...
Nvidia 5080/Steam bias 1- Find local files (Library> PoE2> Settings> Manage> Browse Local Files) and have window to side. 2- Uninstall PoE2. 3- Delete ONLY the leftover PoE2 folder. EXAMPLE:(Steam> steamapps> common> Path of Exile 2) 4- Search Windows for 'Disk Cleanup'> Select Drive related to PoE2> Clean Up System Files (Admin) and reselect drive> Check all boxes> OK 5- Nvidia App**> 'Driver' tab> REINSTALL "game ready driver"> Custom Installation> Check box for "clean installation". **This will reset all custom setting in this app for GPU. Take pics of the settings in the app you have previously changed and you wish to keep... so you can change them back. 6- Reboot 7- Download PoE2 8- Hope This can actually help with many games having issues, especially after driver/game updates that have issues. I had another game not able to use DLSS/Frame gen and this fixed the problem. Its also helped the shader spikes i was having. Happy blasting |

It's kinda the "i don't understand the first method so i re-download the 100 giga".
Can be add as an alternative for people very bad with PC stuff. But it won't change the shader cache size. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย MykroPsykoz#6286 เมื่อ 9 ก.ย. 2025 19:30:25

btw does nvidia control panel still have the setting to choose how many frames to render ahead?
i suspect it might override tripple buffering when its set to 1 (which is common among shooter-players to reduce possible delay) i think by default it was 2, tripple buffering would be 3 It was called "pre rendered frames" if i remember correctly. ... i would obviously recommend to set it to 3 or to be application controlled. |
