Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page & POE 2 Arc Summary
So, i finally got to end-game and im more than simply clueless to what im supposed to be doing.
I know that im supposed to begin mapping/atlas (not that i know what that means. lmao)
But i saw in the guide under "Basic Gear Trade Links", a bunch of links for recommended gear. But the links are not specific gear - its a long list of gear. Is it supposed to work like that? Because i don't know how to choose between those. :P

Well if it would link to just 1 item, the item is gone after a single person uses the trade link eh. :P
But in seriousness, PoE is hard in understanding every thing. Enki makes it a bit easier by providing those links. You should consider the items on there as items that have useful stats for us. This way you only have to compare useful items rather than determine what's useful. So compare the items you see on the link and make an educated guess for yourself what's the best for it's price.
You'll develop a (better) feeling for items the more you play through maps.

i see, that makes sense, thanks you. But from what i've read, i shouldnt begin doing maps before i have better gear/stats. Does that mean i should already be buying new gear? Or is there a way for me to start farming with my current stats/gear?
Does anyone have an idea if a 5l Cloak of Defiance is going to be better than a decent 6l Rare (shown below?)
The tooltip DPS is obviously lower with a 5l Cloak of Defiance, but I can't determine if the added survivability would be worth it.
If you don't need the resses I'd go for the CoD. But what you say: you'll do less damage with a 5l than a 6l.
Yeah, maybe I'll wait until I start having issues surviving and then swap over. Right now I'm just throwing Fusings at my CoD hoping to get a 6l. If I start using the thing that makes it harder.

Eh, it's mainly a guideline. The more experienced you become, the less good your gear has to be to make your way through maps, as you'll know your limits better.
I can't see your character, so I can't comment on your gear. But I'd say: fix your flasks as much as possible (If you haven't done so already), start mapping and once you start having problems with maps, see if you can find some upgrades through trades. There's a lot of loot that'll drop in maps too, so you might just find your upgrades while mapping.
Hello want to thank you Enki for this awesome build, this is my first playtrough and I am enjoying it very much. Considering I am a beginner, im having a few doubts now.
According to build, I should be buying 6L chest now, which is around 5+ EX which I have atm.
I am having troubles with lag as many other people with recent patch and I tend to get 1 shotted in some fights/spawns/ultimatums. My current HP is 3.4K and you recommend 4.5K and I am not even near.
I was thinking to spending ~1ex each with a focus on more life and keeping resi @ 75%:
Belt with mana regen/ring/boots/gloves and helm with more armor/%life
Would that be good a decision before buying 6L chest? IMO i think I dont lack dmg, I run t12-t15 easily except some obnoxious bosses.
When it comes to bosses my Wave of Conviction would help a lot but its not triggering:
126-187 fire
75-105 fire
75-111 lightning
Where can I get that ligtning dmg??
Thanks for read, appreciate your help.
For WoC, try to cast it right after you've activated arcane cloak. That gives it a lot of added lightning damage and should solve any problems.
I think your HP is fine if you have enough mana. The 3.5kish life instead of 4.5k is because you have healthly mind. And that's a tradeoff you can make. (Personallly I would as well).
Your gear looks fine. I'd probably try to get a wand with 150+ mana and a watcher's eye jewel with mana recovery rate. But doing that before a 6link CoD or after shouldn't be too much of a difference.
Thanks bro got a new wand, it even has a enchant, so I added another socket to my build because of the trigger. Bought a bit better helmet and now will save for 6L chest, I am currently missing 5 levels for watchers eye.

Ah, i think i fixed it so you can see my character now. So as you can see, im pretty screwed :P
Thanks a bunch for all the info tho - really helped me out and I already feel a tad less stressed out. Lmao.
I will start fixing My flasks and hopefullyy try out some maps soon.
