I don't even know what to say anymore. POE2 is already in a state of irrelevance. The POE1 players have been alienated. The POE1 streamers have been alienated. No friends or Guild Members play POE1 or POE2, not playing the former because it hasn't been updated in almost year, not playing the latter because it's terrible. With all of this, I'm at a point where I no longer care about POE2. Going forward, all the POE2 fanboys that tell me to return to POE1 for not liking POE2 are going to have to fund GGG. I'm done funding them. My vision for what POE is, is no longer what GGG's vision of POE is.

This is exactly why i said they need to go back to the drawing board. Back to the original desire to make a sequel and make a sequel. Will that alienate the "I want dark souls in POE" crowd. Yep. Who cares? They arent a big enough player base to make the game viable. I love Dark Souls and NRFTW and Expedition 33. These are all completely incompatible games. Mixing them is just rediculous. Poeple play them for very different reasons in very different moods.

Dear GGG:

Go back to what Diablo THOUGHT you were doing and what scared them enough to make punchy posts. DROP patch 0.3.0 ... just don't do it. Announce you are having a rethink and then build a sequel. [Removed by Support]

In the same re-think announcement, announce 3.26 and that you have put significant staff back on POE1.

They already announced 3.26 and they announced they put way more staff towards it now.

And no they don't need to go back to the drawing board. The problem with people like you is you think that GGG is so stupid that they would intentionally destroy the game and keep moving in the direction they are going without player support. You think you can point to 1 single metric (steam charts) and just assume that the game is dead not even understanding that GGG has access to all the data and they clearly know what they are doing.
You also fail to mention or think about how even on its bad month of players on steamcharts...is what POE 1 which you will claim is amazing and love the game...did for 8+ years if not longer. But of course you will come back and throw some nonsense about peak players and bla bla bla...just move on man. We get it. You are disappointed in POE 2. Now its time to grow up, move on, and leave the work to the people who actually like and love the game.

GGG...keep her moving and maybe eventually people like this guy who sit on the forums 12 hours a day complaining about a game they don't even play anymore will finally just shut up.

In the Ziz interview from April Jonathan said the most absurd tone def stuff, it makes me wonder if what you posted above can even be true.

Johnathan's take of using himself as the test for whether something is fun, is fine if this was an indie project.

But it isn't. I really can't understand what made him think he should be the one single source for the definition of fun, in such a big game. :(

The early economy explosion and quick "game end" really doesn't help.

Did you watch the same interview? What I saw was Ziz complaining about a lot of stuff without adding anything of real value or substance other than stuff like "Monsters are to fast" and then Jonathan asking for specific examples and then explaining why you want x thing to be the case. It seemed Ziz, among other streamers, were faced with a perfect problem...POE 2 showcased that they are not actually that good at games. Hence why they flock towards the games that typically require no skill and you can just face smash everything (see POE 1 or LE).

When it comes to GGG ruining their business...no business in the history of mankind has ever decided one day to just destroy their business model and go bankrupt. GGG has access to leagues of data beyond anything we have access to and every single patch reflects that. I would bet that a huge portion (80-150k) of people have the stand alone client and are actively playing and enjoying their experience.

We also, have to understand that almost 95% of the complaints on this forum are coming from the same 20-30 people and it NOT reflective of the larger community. You can just scour the feedback forum and find the same 20-30 people that I am speaking of. Those same people were faced with the same dilemma that the streamers faced...Their were forced to face the fact that they were not that great at the game and cannot accept that Death in a video game is a moment to reflect on how and why you died and overcome that challenge. I got 300+ deaths so far making a home-brew build and each death took me closer to making that build perfect.

I love POE 2 more than I loved POE 1. Is it perfect? Not by a long shot and each patch just makes the game better and better.

Its not pretending genius...its literally understanding that all those you listed are NOT the full data set and that GGG didn't just wake up one morning and go "Yup time to tank our million dollar business that puts food on all our tables"

How can you steer the game if you don't even play it? O yea cause you want POE 2 to be identical to POE 2...even though POE 1 still exist and apparently is the superior game...that you never play.
