For our April Fool's day joke this year, we created a 100 player free-for-all battleground game mode called PATH OF EXILE: ROYALE. While many community members initially assumed the news was a fake announcement (as is typical with April Fool's jokes), the real joke was that we actually made a real game mode and ran it until the end of April 1. Path of Exile is being replaced by PATH OF EXILE: ROYALE, a 100-person free-for-all battle royale game. PATH OF EXILE: ROYALE is live right now.
