" I'm okay with SOME comboing, like 2 skills working together is fine. Maybe 3. But then there's the state of the sorc which is like use 1 spell for exposure then another spell to enhance projectiles then a 3rd spell to make an orb that will drop an infusion then a 4th spell to trigger that orb Pick up the infusion then a 5th spell to spend the infusion all so you can do half the damage of just shooting a single lightning arrow on a deadeye lol. This is an insane amount of dominoes to setup when fighting every single pack. Like either the combos need to be more streamlined or every mob has to have the move speed of an Act 1 zombie because there's genuinely not enough time to do 5 skill combos. |

Its just not fun. Balance is all over the place and it feels clunky. It makes me want to jump back into PoE 1 oe LE or even D4 as a palate cleanser. I want to like the game, but it's so un-fun and grind intensive that it just saps the life out of me.

I start up each patch excited and start hating the game at most turns as it feels brutal to play. I am stuck at the end 1 boss with a warrior, no matter how hard I try the melee combat is too slow. Similar, the new patch mechanic just feels like melee is dragged down and has no chance. Get wanting to have a harder game, but I am an avid ARPG and Souls fan and find even this too brutal for my taste (I would have to believe anyone just trying the game out for the first time will shut it down fast). |

My biggest complaint is that although I love the game.. they really should make most of the skills viable all the way up to endgame. If you play the game, and you get the points, and you put them all in attack power or crit or whatever for a specific attack, then that attack should do a lot of damage. You shouldn't have to "figure out" which skills they intended to work at endgame and which ones are just noob traps. They spent the time designing the animations and effects, just make them all work.
Let people who want a simple approach (put all skill points into fire and spell damage and then fireball does a lot of damage) as well as people who want a complex approach. (corpses are automatically consumed as you walk by generating charges that get converted into other charges that are used on a buff that triggers a passive on your unique amulet that lowers all nearby enemy resistances and applies a dot etc.. ) Just make it make sense. It's dumb to have every passive on the tree for damage and still do no damage. Most people don't want to try and figure that out. This game is supposed to have a sandbox design strategy but It's like having a box of toys to play with but over half of them are broken. No one wants a box of broken toys.. I feel like they invented ascendancies and skills purely from concept alone and never actually tested them in the game in a practical way. That being said they managed to NOT break my lich summoner nor my falling thunder/ice strike monk with the new patch so I feel like there should be a cosmetic I can by for my chars that is a t-shirt that says " I survived Patch 0.3" BOTH of them actually got stronger so they did add some tools to solve problems. We just need to see more options in the growth department with less drawbacks. Let people play the game and kill the bosses.. it doesn't have to be a souls like. It's boring, stuffy, in short I don't like the game, although I played PoE 1 for a long time and even closed 0.1 and 0.2, there is nothing interesting in 0.3, there is no class, interesting abilities, little damage and AoE, I don't know who it is intended for.

" Not wanting to be rude with this (But kinda hard to write it so that it does not sound rude). But when you are struggling that hard at the Act 1 boss, even after having played the game before and being experienced with other ARPGs, then you are just doing something incredibly wrong. I played through the campaign a dozen times now, and only really struggled a bit at my first playthrough (Which was bad, didn't really used the vendors, didn't know what is good on gear, etc.). And even on my first playthrough it was like ~6-7 wipes and then I killed him and it felt very rewarding. Difficulty (Especially at certain bosses) is definitely a bit harder for melee, warrior in particular, but its still very much doable. If you are having that much problems, you are either doing something very wrong, have very very bad gear because you didn't use the game mechanics, or are just naturally a lot worse in such games than the average player. Or you are just overexaggerating, idk. Difficulty is very good imo. Its also totally fine if a boss takes a few tries to beat. |

" I absolutely agree with this. You should be able to go "I want to play a fire mage, so I'll pick the sorceress which it says is good at elemental damage and lean into fire damage" and it should basically work. It doesn't need to be the best build in the game, or the most optimal, but it should get you to maps IMO. It can't be the only way to make fireball work is to actually play witch (non-default class) and take bloodmage and convert everything to chaos damage and you need at least one key unique that's your only real option, and it's still worse than LA deadeye that's just using stuff they found on the floor. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Weaver#3527 เมื่อ 31 ส.ค. 2025 11:42:05

yes, ever patch sucks more, 20 hours playtime and still in act 4 because no loot/drops, no chance to craft good gear. Free weekend to see act 1-4 ? whoa, ppl want to see the endgame
