Does anyone else feel like the game is just designed to make you hate it?

If grey mobs are taking multiple hits and you’re dying alot, you do indeed need to “git good.” You being bad at the game isn’t valid criticism.

I never played the first POE, this is my first experience with GGG and its truly been awful. I think they want us to hate not only the game, but them as a studio.

I havent seen a lack of integrity this disgusting since Blizzard in the 2010s.

How many people even work on this game? Two?

Six months of EA in total sure went to a year fast... and now 2030 at best is what its looking like, if this even gets released.

Seasons in early access is such an insult to the player base.

Two content patches in a year, the next one will be released after the game has been out for a year... its about as unprofessional as possible.

Hire some talent. Start listening to the community, your obvious disdain of us is not helping you whatsoever. Put more than two people to work on this game and more than a patch out every four months (if we are LUCKY)... and maybe, just maybe, GGG should make an effort to keep their word just one time since this game was released on Steam.

Nope. There are some smaller parts i hate. But i dont hate the game, its increadible. I think its a bad idea to think in absolutes like this.

I'm playing a lvl84 Stormweaver, and until now there are some issues that make the game shitty for me:
- Mobs in corrupted areas are very strong, sometimes they spawn right next to me, and i got killed instantly. The mob that zap lightning is very annoying because its projectile is hard to see, yet deals lots of damage
- New Rare abyssal mobs are overtuned, they are way too tanky. The one with 2 lances killed me with only 3 hits, also some of their spell can oneshot because they stunlock or freeze
- Serious bug in Wetland map, when entering boss room, the boss wont attack you, but you can do nth to it -> perma stuck
- Render crashes every 5 minutes
- Some new campaign bosses do oneshot (old ones dont have skills that do oneshot)
But overall, compared to disastrous launch of 0.2.0, the game feels much better for me now

I don't understand all the hate but I guess forums are like this, a loud negative minority.

0.3 is the best PoE2 has ever been and PoE2 is already a massive upgrade over PoE1 IMO. It feels more like a hybrid D1/D2 than the awful "new" games like D3/D4, Last Epoch has a lot of great and interesting ideas and is very smooth overall, but it is waaaay too easy, it's basically a loot pinata game that gets boring pretty quickly once you hit endgame.

D2 and particularly D1 had a lot of situations where you would just get completely overrun and had to strategically pick enemies off one by one, PoE2 is much more like that than the "jump straight into 1000 enemies and blow them to bits with one button" game play that we've seen in D3/D4/Last Epoch and even PoE1.

I love it, the game is not designed to make you hate it, it is designed to make you actually think, adjust, get better, and finally overcome the obstacles put in front of you, which is what a game is all about. If you just want to get endless dopamine kicks from exploding monsters that shoot loot at you, go play a mobile game or something instead and stop trying to ruin the first attempt of making a great ARPG in decades.

I died to a boss who simply one shotted me yesterday, did I whine about it? No, I went back to a previous area and grinded a couple hours to get a few more levels and managed to get an upgraded chest piece after some crafting in the process, adjusted my skills slightly, went back and killed the boss first attempt, this is how these types of games are played.

Are there problems with PoE2? Yes of course, it's is in freaking early access, seriously, we are currently on version 0.3, I.E. an ALPHA version, there is a shit load of stuff not yet implemented, everything is subject for balancing, they will throw in completely new things for testing that might not end up in the final version and there will obviously be a lot of bugs and crashes etc etc.

Actually the majority of people enjoy the game and are not on the forums to bitch about it, hence why you get this skewed view.

And sometimes is fine for the game to not be for you, next time read about it, watch some videos, etc before buying it.

Nope, the game is good and very well done. GGG has done a great job making the game.

If you go to ladders page, you will see thousands of players already reaching more than level 90.

If you go on social media, youtube, twitch, etc, there are hundreds of content providers showing guides and teaching people how to play the game.

Those people who don't like the game, should just uninstall and leave and go play other games.
