I'm theory I like this concept. In practice I'm not sure how you implement it to make it matter. Other games where exploration matters have deterministic loot to reward the exploration. Finding a secret room but then getting shit loot in an ARPG just feels like finding a dead end which would feel more frustrating. If it matters too much it's just mandatory and not a reward for exploration, if it doesn't matter enough it's just like the side quests in 1 that everyone I know skips.

Ill never understand why folks come into some game and try to change into something its not and was never meant to be.

Why would you play PoE if you wanted something else?
Ill never understand why folks come into some game and try to change into something its not and was never meant to be.
i think poe2 graphics and overall design is so appealing people want to play it even if they don't like the genre. personally i can't find a game that looks even on par with poe2, hell it ever wrecked some games I already liked lol

Thats fair enough. But why change it to something its not?
What puts me off is new players coming in and telling those who funded this game to GTFO and change the game to whatever they want. Thats just crazy

.. becouse you decided 'never meant to be'??? It is not Poe1 dude, it's a different game with different rules. Get over it! This game meant to be one of the best games of each kind and therefore need innovative ideas. Of course Devs can take some lessons from old games that had quality standards and not these days discusting abomination games.

GGG is trying to make the best hack'n slash ARPG not the best 'rpg adventure' or w/e you guys are requesting here

Common dude, opening some secret doors wouldn't change the whole philosophy of game. Expedition is some kind of adventure. Don't speak like you know what GGG is planning. Sometimes even GGG don't know what path should be taken for bringing best results to game experience. After all, all games in some way copying others.
