All we need are two separate leagues with completely different mechanics. One for fun, Invoker/Spark-like characters (like in the first season), and a second one with Elden Ring–style mechanics. Half of the players want one, the other half wants the other. We’ll never be satisfied with compromises.

0.1 also came with a massive marketing push that included every streamer they could get playing the game.
the peak concurrent in 0.3 was bigger than poe1 ever hit (on steam)
both patches play plenty fast, significantly slowing it down will be a wild shift in the experience people have which will risk driving away many of those hundreds of thousands of players.

the people who *actually* like souls like have a LOAD of options that far better suit their preferences. not sure why some feel the need to force that style into POE, its like showing up at a soccer game and bitching that it isnt baseball.

Judging by ruthless in poe1 is just ridiculous.
Poe1 is not designed for this initially, its not default league and theres clearly people who dont want even install poe1 due to it zoomy gameplay.
You can clearly see 600k online in 0.1 which is like 3x of average poe1 league, of people who wanted this new advertised meaningful combat and gameplay.
May be theres 1/3 of them of poe1 players, but even there not all want it to be poe1 clone (like me).
